They are protesting the children's funerals, not the shooter's and apparently think the "shooter was sent by God"

And also they apparently blame Carrie Underwood for the shooting.

#149631 Defective Wii U

Posted by BrokenDreams77 on 19 December 2012 - 12:04 PM in Wii U Hardware

Seems you are having the same issue I have had from the day I got mine, my gamepad(s) have been having freezing issues. The one I got with the system was completely unusable and I had to send it to Nintendo for repair. Second one I got I can do more with but it freezes after about a minute of use. I can return it to Best Buy within 60 days for an exchange, I'm very much considering it at this point in time instead of sending another gamepad or the system itself to Nintendo.

And is it just me or does this whole interference issue seem strange for a brand new piece of technology to have. It just seems that most technology today doesn't have an issue with 'interference' and you don't have to unplug practically everything in your house to get one thing to work.

#146299 So it's odd seeing this many systems jsut sitting on shelves.

I have seen many available in different stores in my area, both models. Also went to a city 45 minutes away and they also had multiple units in different stores. This is in southwest VA so the cities are not huge or anything.

#143189 The Fitness and Exercise Thread

Posted by BrokenDreams77 on 04 December 2012 - 08:35 AM in The Café

I lost about 30 lbs. at one point about a year ago after a few years of being too overweight for myself. It seems though that progress that was made was mostly kept off but I did gain 10 lbs. of that back over the last year and a half. My gym routine has changed some over that time and I've also taken time off but this is pretty much what I've been doing since the summer though:

I go to the gym 6 days a week after work but do only an hour of cardio, switching up weekly what cardio workouts I do

I do some very light weights but not much with that.

I feel that diet is my enemy though, I just find it I guess too...stressful is the best word lol, I just don't want to have to worry about counting numbers of what I eat or looking at the ingredients of the food I'm eating to decide if I can eat it or not. And I don't eat junkfood all day, everyday or anything like that, I will have candy in moderation while gaming or something but I will only do that a couple times a week. I drink water probably 70% of the time I have something to drink.

Anyone have any suggestions to this or how I could make dieting easier? I think that is probably my biggest fault when it comes to staying healthy, and I mostly have no problem with where I'm at now it's just that I had this little set back and seems like I am on some kind of plataue and I can't budge.

You shouldn't let a troll bring you down, anything you post to the internet will leave you open for someone to attack you. Just ignore those people and continue to write for the people who appreciate what you do :)

#143179 No mutiplayer for bioshock infinite

Posted by BrokenDreams77 on 04 December 2012 - 08:08 AM in General Gaming

Not a deal breaker for me, I thought the story of the first Bioshock was great and it didn't have multiplayer, I have not finished the 2nd because I got sidetracked with another game but I never felt the need to try the multiplayer it offered. Games with a great story do not need useless multiplayer to sell it.

#143177 For those of you with multiple systems

Posted by BrokenDreams77 on 04 December 2012 - 08:04 AM in General Gaming

I own a ps3/360/wii/& now wii U

I am big into getting consoles for exclusive game (ps3: uncharted/lbp/god of war) (360: gears of war, & games that I think work better on live than psn with multiplayer) (wii: Mario, DK)

Sadly after Mario Bros Wii I didn't touch my Wii too often unless friends came over and wanted to play some simple multiplayer games.

I'm hopefully going to show my Wii U more love than I did the Wii. I'm hoping more of the "hardcore" games for it will make me want to play it more, I will say that Zombii U was honestly a big draw to me for the Wii U, when I saw that game was exclusive that's when I decided I wanted the system.

#143173 Which game are you playing right now ?

Playing Black Ops2 on 360 most every night (multiplayer)

Also played some Little Big Planet 2 last night, had a blast with that

#143158 Wii U got problems?

Posted by BrokenDreams77 on 04 December 2012 - 07:37 AM in Wii U Hardware

I've seemed to have no problems with my console at all so far, my problems have been with the gamepad freezing.

The first gamepad I had was very unusable, I could select maybe an option or 2 and then it would freeze up, I would have to power it off and wait 30+ seconds for it to work again, just turning it off and right back on would not unfreeze it, it needed at least 30 seconds or more for it to work again. I sent that one to Nintendo about 2 weeks ago and I just received a new gamepad yesterday and did all the updates and have still had freezes, though it takes longer to freeze up and if this one freezes i can turn it off and right back on to unfreeze it, but it's all good because I can finally play games!

Though the only game I have played so far is Mario U, I attempted Zombii U but think I will be getting a Pro Controller before I play that.

#143129 Wii U online connection issue!

Posted by BrokenDreams77 on 04 December 2012 - 07:01 AM in Wii U Hardware

You could maybe try the wii U LAN adapter, maybe a wired connection could solve your problems if that's a possiblity for you.
I think the wireless signal strength in the U is very low, which is very sad considering how many people's home's are set up with wireless networks these days.
I have to move my console to our family room to download any updates because in the bedroom the connection will drop instantly after connecting to the internet, and this is in a fairly small house.
It's kind of frustrating since my other consoles have no problems connecting and staying connected to the network.

#143114 Gamepad replacement?

Posted by BrokenDreams77 on 04 December 2012 - 06:46 AM in Wii U Hardware Help

I had mine replaced, but mine was covered by warranty because of freezing issues, I'm pretty sure they just sent me a new one or one they had already fixed because the turn around time was great! But on the return form they sent, it said if I wasn't covered by warranty it would've cost me $85, but I'm not sure how accurate a price that would be for your situation.
