Playing the original Crash Bandicoot as well as finishing up Hyrule Warriors. I've played Crash a ton of times but this is the first time I'm actually going for 100%, and it's hard as nails. Awesome game though.
I actually got Hyrule Warriors a while back, but I'm only now beating the story mode. I've really enjoyed it, a tad repetitive but there's something about killing hordes of enemies that's extremely satisfying.

Introduction Central
(For the 0.5% percent of you that understand what "haldo" references, you rule)
Hey folks. I randomly decided to try and find some kind of community to join, and happened to stumble upon this one. It's been a long time since I have used a message board like this, but hopefully I'll get back in the swing of things!
Anywho, if you want to know a little about me, I'm a fan of Zelda, Donkey Kong Country, and really just platformers in general. I actually grew up with the PS1/PS2, but in recent years I've become more of a Nintendo guy after getting the Wii. Unfortunately, I missed out on a lot of the 64 and GameCube stuff, but I've been slowly going back and checking them out.
Outside of games, I'm also an animator currently working toward getting into art school. I'd post some of my work, but I'm pretty sure that's against the rules so I'll play it safe.
I've gone on long enough now, excited to get going here. ![]()

I do like the Wii U because it actually has a lot of enjoyable games, but a lot of that stems from the fact that I'm a big Nintendo fan. Obviously I'm going to like the games whether or not they're sequels or remakes because I love their games, but in order for Nintendo to reach mass market success like with the Wii, they're going to need to bring completely new experiences we haven't see on other systems. That doesn't mean getting rid of Mario, Zelda, and all their other franchises, it just means making new games for them that explore new ideas never before seen.

Man, I have waited for a game like this for what feels like forever. We practically didn't have a single classic-styled 3D platformer the whole past generation other than the Mario Galaxy games, looking forward to this one!

Wii U News
I don't really understand any benefit to showing off a game so early in production. Like, if anything this will hurt any hype people would have for the game.
I'd rather game developers just wait until it's actually decent to look at and not when it's only in pre-alpha.
At least with Star Fox being shown off early I can kinda understand since Nintendo is trying to get people excited about the Wii U's future, but this?
No real point in it.
EDIT: Also, developers of UCraft. That's a big hype killer too.

The Famicom version of the original Legend of Zelda actually had better sound quality than on the NES, due to the Famicom having an extra sound channel.

Those characters look like they were made with some kind of online character-creator.

To be honest, because Wii games are still very easy to find in stores, I think it's better for them to highlight some of the under-looked Wii games. The Wii had so many gems in it's sea of games, I'd rather see those than usual Nintendo stuff like Mario Galaxy or Skyward Sword because you can just go to the store and get those ones pretty easily.
Metroid Prime Trilogy is a great pick since it is so rare, I hope to see more stuff like that going forward.
