Super Mario Bros. 3

#316566 Super Princess Peach Maker

Posted by Atticus on 12 August 2015 - 08:24 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Pretty cool. I think they created each sprite from scratch for every character.

Gah, Toad, ok... not mad. But Luigi? C'mon.

Just... just more. WANT THIS GAME.

#316560 Super Princess Peach Maker

Gameplay with amiibo enabled (or by other means) Peach and Bowser costumes. Not an issue but I feel like it should be the original Princess Toadstool sprite from SMB. Sure her look has been updated since but so has Mario's. I could say the same for Bowser but since the his 8-bit sprite is already used in the game I have less of a quarrel there.

#316552 Nintendo Explains Why It Won't Annualize Smash Bros. And Mario Kart

Posted by Atticus on 12 August 2015 - 06:43 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I read this today. I'm very glad they don't annualize their games. But it seems like MK8 DLC has gone dry (though we did get a lot).

Yeah, would love to see more ppl here. That backloggery site looks interesting only because of my own backlog of games. Remember to love your Wii U when you get it.

#316548 MK7 Trophies

Posted by Atticus on 12 August 2015 - 03:32 AM in General Gaming

It's not hard, I got a lot of my posters and Japanese Nintendo swag from eBay. The seller cashes in his points/stars and has Nintendo mail it directly to you if possible.

You may want to wait for prices to go down though...

That was the first thing I did. I doubt they will ever come down to anything near reasonable.

I would do awful things to get these. I need to move to somewhere in Europe.

European Club Nintendo: Mario Kart 7 Trophies, Majora’s Mask Light, And Mario Golf Balls

Good news for Mario Kart fans in Europe as the Mario Kart 7 trophies are back up on the European Club Nintendo website. There’s obviously a variety to choose from including the Leaf and Special Cup amongst others. If you want one of these luxurious trophies then it will set you back 5000 Stars. If the trophies aren’t your thing then you can pick up The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask light for 6000 Stars or alternatively get the Mario Golf Balls for 3500.

#316510 Super Mario Maker: 60 Levels Confirmed; One by Rayman's Michel Ancel

Posted by Atticus on 10 August 2015 - 09:26 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I agree. i think it will turn into a fun party game with friends over too. "have you ever played this super mario level?" hehehe. :)

Upload it!

I have a really specific question if anyone knows the answer. Have ALL of the abillites of the respective generations been preserved? The one I'm thinking of in particular is the SMW ability to throw shells upwards. If I remember rightly, that only existed in that generation. They removed it for the more recent games and you could only throw shells left or right.

They claim it will preserve all the physics and abilities of each Mario game, including kicking a shell upwards in SMW and wall jumping NSMB games.

At work, can't watch the vid but Octolings playable would be neat. They seem to be of only the female variety though.

#316315 Underwear that absorbs farts!

Posted by Atticus on 29 July 2015 - 07:52 AM in The Café

A company is now selling "flatulence filtering" underwear - that is, underwear that will absorb your farts.

Shreddies underwear has been around for awhile, but today we've learned of the odor-stopping wonder thanks to Geek.com. Shreddies are made special by their "Zorflex" activated carbon panels, which trap and neutralise the scent of a fart. (Alas, the sound will remain.)

Admittedly, they're not perfect. Shreddies recommends a specific farting stance to ensure proper neutralisation of the odor - no slouching! Legs should be held close together, and the wearer should ensure their underwear fits well so that nothing escapes through gaps in the waistband or leg openings. Shreddies also has some pretty stringent laundry care requirements: the magical underpants can only be washed with soda crystals.

Prices start at £19 (about $30 USD) for a pair of women's wind-resistant briefs, or £24 ($38 USD) for a pair of men's. For those wanting optimal coverage, Shreddies also offers fart-squashing pyjamas, jeans, and even an underwear line for sufferers of incontinence.

What do you think, readers - are Shreddies worth the price for concealing your butt-sneeze?
