I saw the e3 trailer. It looked insane and theres a lot of programmed movement in the environments which made me think it was on rails. I hope im wrong, is there anything to say it's not?

It looks great from what I've seen, but it does look like an on rails shooter which would be a great shame. Does anyone know the answer?

Is it just me or is everyone in complete denial?
Look at the day one releases for xbox one and ps4, im a nintendo guy all the way, and I know graphics arnt everything but come on, they look incredible.
If wiiu can easily keep up with games like that, why haven't they?
It will be a noticeable downgrade and id rather they didn't bother and just gave us original games made for wiiu.
I mean talk is cheap, go to you tube and watch some of these new games.
Who remembers when we were all hyped up as need for Speed most wanted on wii u had "pc textures" lol I just saw the new forza on xbox one being played, now I feel a bit silly ...

I said something similar to this a while back and "unsurprisingly got abuse from NEARLY everyone on here", its interesting to read Everybody's views a few months on. I'll try again, we all bought wiiu because...
1. we love nintendo.
2. its different and innovative,
3. we were promised big 3rd party support and the big AAA games our sony and Microsoft owning friends were getting
4. tvii which linked all our entertainment hubs together
5. Better online facilities

Now as a customer I trust nintendo and I bought one on day one.
Now I feel like an idiot, even my friends who arnt hatters or trolls, who love nintendo but just went over to ps3 for more adult games (im 35 btw) are shocked and amazed that over a year in and theres still no real amount of games to warrant paying the new low price let alone the price I paid on day one.
Theres no info on tvii, and a lot of the big franchises arnt even making it on to the wiiu ? Where the hell is fifa ?????
I hate to admit it but nintendo have either...
1. F.ed up big big time, (which is fine, we all do it), or..
2. Lied to us.
I hope its not the latter so if they have messed up why not start again and market the big nintendo games and indie games only the system.
If you reply with the answer "dah, who's gonna buy wiiu if there arnt any big 3rd party franchises", the answer is us, who in there right mind would buy a wiiu to play the biggest 3rd party games? There are hardly any being released. So why not market new indie games and first party title only? How many people bought angry birds? So there's a massive market for indie games. Online Multiplayer is here to stay, i agree its not always necessary but id take it over not taking it anyday.
In fairness to the game developers, games haven't gone up in price much over the last few years, but they have expanded the life of the game by giving us the multiplayer option. Im miffed that WIIU seems to be missing out on a lot of games and features but as gamers we cant hate online multiplay as its clearly massive and clearly popular, its just a shame we cant experience much of it

Its not meant to be a hard hitting real life question, its just a fantasy thought kinda question. For FUN. If it bugs you, why read it, and more importantly why respond?? Now go back to your shell and stay there until you open your mind a little x
 

multiplayer is a big deal these days as not only do you get a full campaign game, you also get an online separate game giving the gamer more for their money.
Its clearly the future from now on and the same game on wiiu will cost the same but give the customer less. Not good really .

I just heard that to, i think its expensive to run the servers needed to offer the multiplayer option and they feel theres not enough people yet who own wii u's and buy the game and play it regularly. I do understand why they've done it and it sucks, but wii u is kind of seen as the more family friendly console so of the 3 million sold or whatever, a large percentage of owners probably only play mini games n mario kart when there friends are over.
Then you have the gamer thats nintendo loyal but wants more action games n big titles like the other consoles have (like me).
But i think we are a minority.

The only think that will get frostbite on wii u is more wii u's being sold, start a kickstarter to raise 3 million, spend all the money on wii u consoles, give them away, and E.A cant say the console hasnt sold well.
What bugs me though is ps4 and xbox one havent sold any as there not even out yet but they have support ????

I didn't know it was on game n wario. I still think nintendo should make free little games like this to play with friends or against online opponents. They have this universe (miiverse) which is great for sharing info and pics etc but its drawback is theres no actual games on it. Imagine going on miiverse and while your checking mario tips or whatever, a little box pops up and a gamer is waiting to play pictionary, or pong, maybe even tetris for free!

Its simple, m3 and my friends play a kind of pictionary game with the freehand pad on miiverse.
we try and guess what their drawing on the gamepad as it comes up on the tv within a certain amount of time.
If nintendo very simply make this into an online feature on miiverse making it possible for people to play each other I think they'll have a winner on their hands.
If u don't get it heres the rules.
The person with the pad chooses between 2 topics for example films or sport. They then have 1 minute to draw a film or sport which everyone else has to guess. If it is guessed in a minute the drawer gets a point! That's it. Try it x

But the fact is 3rd parties are dumping big game releases for wiiu heres another eexample do to cvg.com and read about F1 not being ported to wiiu from 360 and ps3 because basically it cant handle it and the game would have to be changed to much. All im saying is if third parties are your preference when choosing a console (we have one, its new customers we need) why choose wii u?

Also the main and unfortunate truth is that nintendo didn't listen to 3 party devs. I've said it before when designing the wiiu nintendo MUST have spoke to EA, rockstar in fact all the big names in games and asked about their new games and what the console required to smoothly run the new engines that will be used in big titles for the next 5 years! But clearly didn't listen and took a different route. which is fine! BUT, nintendo PROMISED us a powerful machine that would win back gamers with big 3rd party games. Now if you own an xbox or ps3 and have been happy with all the games over the last 5 years, and your deciding weather to upgrade to ps4 or xone or choose a wiiu, would you choose it? So unfortunately for us, nintendo have messed up there idea of a big new console that will win back the core gamer, in fact im not sure wii owners are wanting to upgrade.

This is a tragic but funny story. My wife and I recently split up for a while (tragic bit) and I went back to my mums to stay for a while, I had to go to asda to by new bedding n stuff for the spare room I was staying in. it was a horrible day I was in tears picking up a douvet for one, even the staff felt sorry for me. After I got my bedroom stuff I thought im gonna get a new game to play to take my mind of it all so I went over to the game section and through my tear filled eyes looked for the wiiu stuff, I was stressed and upset so I asked the teenager behind the desk where the wiiu games are. He laughed and said "mate, we here at asda wouldn't stock anything for that pile od s#@t" after that I broke down in the store wanting to die lol

If the game looks better why no comment or developer tweets or footage? That would get a buzz going for wii u. It wouldn't do them any harm sales wise as if you want this game you'll buy it on whatever machine you have. Im expecting a game that looks current gen but maybe slightly better shading in places. Like need for Speed most wanted.

Nintendo started gaming, and now gaming has got bigger than nintendo needs it to be.
We have a console that is being pushed aside by big game producers and we have it for 5 years.
SO if you want to play big AAA games like gtav crysis FIFA you sshould quite clearly own an xbox. Simple.
I would be happy to start again with gaming, watch nintendo start helping people who wouldn't usually get noticed, get there games to us and grow from there sales giving us customers more content and more importantly new experiences. We would still get huge games from the masters themselves of course. What's cooler, wearing what everyone else is wearing or finding your own style?

If nintendo advertise it right to the right people it would work. A LOT OF GAMERS probably spend a lot more time playing games on there mobiles tablets etc meaning simplier more addictive online games/challenges are big business. The way it stands is if you want to play c.o.d, battlefield, FIFA your gonna buy an xbox or playstation so nintendo rather than trying to compete in that market and clearly losing, go in a completely new route promoting the simpler but more fun games aand helping new developers get noticed and giving us nintendo gamers something thats ours and new rather than us "hoping" we get a version of AAA game.

Why should Nintendo put up with such bad press from big developers. "YOUR NINTENDO, F-THEM" Why not ditch the big 3rd parties all together and make it a in house and indie dev only console. Make it so easy for anyone to upload there games and the dev company's that sells best and makes the best games, gets investment by nintendo to produce bigger and more AAA style games. They could encourage young sports game devs to take down e.a, in the future, which I would love! My grammar might be bad but can you see what I mean?

It is good it's coming out but it won't sell consoles as if you really want this game you'll get it on xbox or ps which as they showed at e3 it was really made for. Thats why there was no wiiu footage unfortunately

Lol very good. I dont agree with that though as if the games are in development then the idea will be ccopyrighted. So you can't just steel the idea surely

It was one of the reasons I bought the damn console on day one, I showed my wife and she loved that part, now the consoles £100 cheaper and still no sign of it. so if they don't do it soon ill never be able to buy a console on launch day again! Thanks nintendo.

They should tell us very soon what they are as people will put deposits down on x boxes and playstaions.
