#189455 Buying a UK Wii U for Australia

On top of that the warranty won't be valid in Australia and if anything goes wrong you will need to contact Nintendo UK and pay for shipping costs there and back.

To be honest its going to be more hassle then its worth.

Yeah, I've never had any problems with any Nintendo products that required the use of the warranty. Come to think of it, I've never had to utilise a warranty for any electronic devices I've owned.

The UK Wii U basic pack is a good $70 cheaper than the one in Australia. Plus I don't pay VAT so with shipping is basically 199 pounds from Amazon. Sweet deal for me! :D

#189073 Connect Wii U to Apple 27" Cinema Display (mini displayport)

It looks like you may need a dedicated hardware decoder. This is what I needed to hook up my PS2 to a VGA monitor.

I am not 100% sure however

#189072 Buying a UK Wii U for Australia

What I can say is that you will need to use UK eShop cards. The Aussie ones only work of the Aussie Wii U's. More or less a general currency thing.

I think UK ones can run Aussie PAL titles.

Dunno bout Club Nintendo, never really used it, the rewards are pretty crap imo.

Hi Javik, long time no type.

Hey Man

Awesome. I'll see what i can do about the actual store i set up. With my US 3DS I could set it up for any country in the Americas (including South America), so hopefully I can set up an Australian Account

Wii U is region-locked. So an EU WIi U won't play Australian games unfortunately.

Yeh, I'm pretty sure EU is PAL and Australia is PAL so there shouldnt be a problem (that i know of) to playing UK/AUS games.

Am I right in saying that a UK (PAL) Wii U will run Australian games?

Are their any power considerations I have to take into account (As in terms of a voltage transformer - Had some problems with a US 3DS with this). I have basic UK adapters so it shouldn't be a problem but do I need to get a transformer?

Will i have problems with eShop and online connectivity. Can I set up a UK account and use an Ozzie credit card, or can I set up an Aussie Account on the UK Wii U.

Club Nintendo. Will UK Wii U games be compatible with my Australian Club Nintendo account. Can I register the Wii U on my account or do I have to set up a new account for UK

Cheers for any responses, looking forward to my Wii U :D
