you only play gta games for graphics?

lol.. I thought I made it clear when I said, graphics don't intimidate me, means I don't care about graphics.. It can be as super photorealistic, but if the gameplay is nothing compare to the san andreas.. I'm not interested..

and when I talked about GTA4, I said it was beautiful when I first saw it, and assumed everything from San Andreas is retained in the game. I imagined a high graphics GTA:SA, which will be really cool.. but was dissappointed

And i am no nintendo fan. I don't brush out games/ offered by other company than nintendo. If it interests me, I'll buy it, be it Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo

you know, things like this makes me laugh at human imagination. There are limits to some things. not everything can be a quantum leap everytime.

Remember in the 80's, how some people imagined the year 2000 will be like? everyone will have their own airplanes, or there'll be a floating cars, or 2 wheels thing like the bicycle is not practical and will be dead before we know it, or the telephone is a joke, no one will use it. I think this statement of quantum leap in graphics is one of the bogus statement.

I don't think there will be serious competition between nintendo and sony/micro... end of the day, everybody wins. If everyone keep their prices affordable, offers a good and convincing exclusives, people will buy it. Battle between consoles is not specs, but experiences that each console offers. If one of them can't keep up, it won't sell.

For example, me. I bought a PC, because I want to do my work on it, and I made it powerful enough so it can play games. Lots of games. But then I saw the PS3 games. I don't have that on my PC, and I reaaaalllly want to play it. So I save up, and buy a PS3, and get the experience that I can never get it on PC. Why didn't I buy an XBOX? because Halo and Gears of War didn't convince me, and most games it has, are on PC and PS3. How about a Wii? because I am a idiot for listening to other people, so I don't really pay attention to it, and also nintendo as a whole. Only this year I started listening to Nintendo news, and realized how many things I've missed. I wanted to buy a Wii, but then I saw Wii U which is even more cooler and backwards compability with Wii!! So much win, so I decided to save up and buy that instead.

Vita also didn't convince me with the game it offers. I like the thing a lot, I can think of many possibilities of gaming on Vita. 3DS however got my attention. Where else can you play games like kid icarus, new monster hunter, new harvest moon, or mario? only the 3DS. Plus, the games I mentioned really is suitable for mobile gaming (except for Icarus maybe), because you can enjoy it even on small screen, plus it's like you can spend small time on these game to make some progress.

if you ask the same question on Vita, where else can you play games like Uncharted, Assassin creed, killzone, COD? on the PS3. sure the game is a little different, but adding some touchscreen gimmick on these game won't cut it, because the general experience is still the same.

ACIII: 80 - 90 %, I like the series, and nothing will stop me to play this one. new gameplay, new place, new mechanics, and also a wiiu version, that all contributed to the hype.

GTA5: 0 - 10%, simply because graphics don't intimidate me that much anymore. Bunch of screenshots released so far is just showing how beautiful it is, and some available transport in the game. The only thing that gets me is jets, but Saints Row 3 has it, didn't feel that much interesting anymore. GTA4 fooled me with graphics, dont think they will fool me again.

my take is you have problem with the game itself, not the Wii U. because of the game alone, it ruined your experience. Furthermore, there really isn't anything on the Wii U experience so far that really is outstanding, except for ZombiU. And you missed that.

I'm hoping everything will change this september.

In cross play terms the Vita does far more then the Wii U game pad is supposedly meant to do and is far more sophisticated. Granted not every PS3 owner also owns a Vita and time will tell how much penetration the Vita makes regards market share but the free game offers and increase in cross play compatibility will hopefully mean an increase in the number of Vitas sold.

I hope you are not confusing cross-play and cross-controller, these 2 are different things. But most people just refer them both as Cross-play, which is wrong. Cross-play, as you know it, sharing game saves and what not, between the 2 versions, ps3 and vita. while Cross-controller is basically using the vita as controller, like the Wii U gamepad.

if you put these 2 features combined against the Wii U gamepad, of course there is a more possibility, that's 2 against 1. What I posted before is mainly referring to the Cross-controller. The cross-controller feature might be more limited than the Wii U gamepad, due design limitations. That is all what I am saying.

edit: and one more thing. seeing these 2 are separate features, games that cross-play might not support cross-controller, and vice versa.

Hardly. You obviously have no clue about Vita cross play if that's what you think. Cross play has far more possibilities then the Wii U's game pad and will provide pretty good competition. Microsoft's Smart Glass on the other hand is going to have a tough time competing as it assumes everyone out there has a compatible device which is not the case.

or far more limited, being the feature is an add on, instead of built in. the vita might not be able do everything the Wii U gamepad can do, because of design limitations. who knows.

the first one was good, great controls and satisfying damage mechanism. probably getting this one on the PC though. Analog trigger is important, learned that from the first game lol.

I use the cockpit view sometimes, just to get the feel of it. I can use it, though the only thing that bothers me is the gear change animation, it's kinda not sychronized. If you are a driver you'll know that your hand must finish putting the gear knob into place, before your engine goes into lowerhigher RPM (indicated by the engine sound, and meter). But in most racing games, GRiD included, it's the opposite. The engine already goes to lower or higher RPM, both sound and meter, before the hand animation finishes. it's only a split second but I hate it =_=. So yeah, I won't miss the driver's eye view. If it's for the best so be it. Can't wait to try this game

anyway, some games rated between teen and mature could be nice. maybe an action adventure game with current time frame? so far we have seen futuristic and sort of medieval fantasy game from nintendo.

The problem with the old ps3 as far as I know is because of the welding between the processor and board, not so much with the thermal paste. All thermal paste will dry up at some point, when it dries up, your processor will become hotter than normal, and the fan will tend to rotate faster (if there is a sensor to detect it). Depending on the processor, a few degrees won't really bust the processor.

so don't worry much about the thermal paste, but worry about the quality of the build. Thermal paste will dry up no matter what brand you use.
