One night at my wifi-less and tv-less apartment I plugged in my Wii U gave it wifi from personal hotspot on my phone and played games using the gamepad. not really being portable i guess... but you get the idea.

I think people think they're too "hardcore" for the name Wii U. Wii was bad enough. As for the low sales though, I find it funny how trolls say Wii U sucks because of low sales and Xbox and PS3 are wayyyyyy better even though those two consoles sold less than the Wii U worldwide in the first four months.

If you have not played Earthbound and pass up on it then you don't deserve to play games. Dead serious. It's that good. Earthbound never did much for me either looking at it and when I finally bought it on Eshop instantly became one of my all time fave games. Seriously it's free. To buy SNES cart alone is 150-200 dollars. You get it free. I'm sorry but it's flat stupid to pass up Earthbound when free. Gamings version of passing up a free titty frak from Christina Hendricks.
Isn't Earthbound an RPG? I can't get into those, I never saw Earthbound as something I'd like.

Hey! I'm not too sure where to put this, but I figured since all the rewards are games, it would go here. Anyway what is everyone picking for their platinum gift? I'm getting either Game and Wario, NES Remix, or Dr.Luigi. I think Game and Wario would be at the top of the list, because it is a full retail game, but I'm still deciding.

Take out the battery so the GamePad shuts off, then turn off the console, then turn them both back on again..

Its controlled with the gamepad.
Wii remotes are used for players 2-4. Can also use pro controller.

Yeah those prices are total balls. Try looking for some refurbished under the Nintendo site. They'll look and perform like new and should be a heck of a lot cheaper.
Lol, I just took the leap and purchased all 4 Wii Remotes and all 4 Nunchucks at the same time. Spending $220 on them is actually quite worth it, considering how much fun you could have with a group of friends.

I would, considering the fact that I've never played the originals. The most I've done is watch my friends play them on emulators online, so if I bought a remake for Wii U, it'd be a completely new game to me.

Im not a business man so ill just talk my fantasies. Inside what is possible I'd:
- Open Nintendo Network to latin america in general and open Club Nintendo latin america
- Make a 50US$ premium subscription for Club Nintendo where you get a free classic or indie game monthly and some discounts
- Change Marketing Campaign to target (for real) Hardcore gamers
- Change way of thinking to a more modern and inclusive way without changing philosophy of the company
- Go partially mobile. open nintendo e-shop that works with Nintendo Network ID for smartphones to download mobile exclusive apps to customize your phone, chat, access Miiverse (upload pics from your phone to Miiverse), charge money to your e-shop, bring some NES and SNES games for smartphones and option to try some demos but NOT MAKE GAMES FOR MOBILES.
- Give veteran fans what they want (Starfox, F-Zero, etc etc... new games from classic franchises) and also games for kids. In general never leaving behind the classic franchises despite the next point:
- Open a division to develop M rated games creating new franchises for hardore gamers, hence, start a new FPS franchise with massive multiplayer to compete with Halo, new action adveture franchise with a new character that will also represent Nintendo (competing with Kratos and Masterchief)
- Get games from last gen that the Wii missed out for purchase on e-shop (eg: Darksiders Bulletstorm, Far Cry 3, Skyrim, GTA IV, Metal Gear, Dead Island, Resident Evil 5 and 6, etc)
- Make e-shop downloaded games cross through Wii U and 3DS.
- Once all this is done get all the 3rd party support (Activision, Konami, Bethesda, Blizzard, Rockstar, Capcom, etc) except for EA.
- Holidays 2016 release new handheld
- Holidays 2017 release new home console without completely closing support for Wii U for 1 more year. Make new system backwards compatible and with the option to migrate NNID to new console and add achievements system.
This is the best thing I've read all day! I especially like the last one, it would be very smart.
