I would call it the Eff U before using Wii again.
Make your God Damn dev kits 5 YEARS before launch and get a Damn Metriod, a Mario, and a Zelda game out for launch (hell, throw a Pikmin in there too).
Yes Nintendo, You used to be able to launch a system with 3 total games for the first month or 2. Those days are long gone.
Since your are launching with actual games Nintendo fans love, market the Damn thing to Nintendo fans. No more casual BS. Keep it real, Then you have a chance of getting new gamers if you make some old school style games with modern tech. Your games are to easy.
My 4 year old loves Pikmin. He has beat most bosses in that game since he was 3 1/2.
When a 3 year old can beat your bosses your have lost your way.
Which brings me to my next idea. Market to the dad who wants to share good games with his kids. I am not Playing CoD wIth my 3 year old. But I let him watch/play Pikmin, Mario etc.
He loves Nintendo characters.
So what am I saying. ..mmm. ..
Launch with real games.
Market to hard-core Nintendo fans (not kids or college students. .. try the dad who loves the old games and wants something tasteful too share with kids)
Increase challenge so games aren't for soccer moms and 3 year olds.
There is probably more but i am not getting paid for this so I am losing interest.
Plus, as with all the other stuff I have been right about here, You guys will just call me an idiot. This should be enough material for that. 8).
OH. .. AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. IT IS 2014 AND I CAN'T PLAY A DVD? MUCH LESS A BLU-RAY?! FIX THIS! !!!!!!
Lol. The irony about that is by the time the next wave of consoles come out, physical media will going out and everything will be streamed.

I have never played a Dynasty Warriors game, so I am happy I don't have that against me if it is just more of the same.
Are you guys expecting good things, or is this just well placed filler?
I am looking forward to it. But I am not sure if it a day one buy. I may wait to see what the consensus is before spending dollars.

I have a feeling money is the least of your worries. But it is funny that you shudder at the duel shipping costs. Must be what connects you to the Common Man.Sweet. I don't think I will pick it up. I was hesitant on getting the all black game pad because both consoles were black. I have an address back in the states, where I have 8 wii u games waiting to be shipped. The problem with that is paying for shipping twice lol.
Just funning. Cool collection.
#292747 Petition to get Bungie and Activision to release Destiny on the WiiU

I don't see it as a lost cause. What are you guys even doing here if you see the WiiU as a lost cause?
Also, how is it supposed to sell any better if it doesn't get games?
Ok, the petition probably won't get us Destiny, but if it gets a lot of signatures, it might be noticed by other developers. Which is good right?
I have always said it will sell 20-30 million units and be a great 2nd platform for playing all the great first person Nintendo games.
We also have great 2nd party exclusives like Bayonetta and W101.
You want Destiny, get a PS4.
I love the Wii U. But it is what it is. A console for Nintendo games only, and whatever exclusive they can eek out.

I have been asking for like a year and a half now why we care about 3rd party support.
Nintendo for a long time now has been really a first party machine. You want good first party games and 3rd party. .. get a PS4
You get a Wii U as a second machine for the awesome Nintendo games. I will always have a Nintendo console. But I will have the others as well for the 3rd party games.
As some one who owns a Wii U, PS, Xbox One, 3ds and a Vita, I must say the Wii U is the one I am most excited for during this next year or so of releases.

Over 50% of all American households have a system in their home. But wasn't there more video game system sales back then then there was now days? Meaning there's less of a chance to find one in a house?
Interesting info here
http://www.theesa.com/facts/
Could be utter BS but I like it.

Couple that with the fact 53% percent of US citizens play games makes me think this thinking is no longer valid, or going away.
That is all.

But when you get to the mountains will we be able to climb them?
For example most games use a mountain range to form as border so you can't enter an area until you pass dungeon, get gate key etc.
Always wanted to just climb over LOL.

Sounds kinda like an Amiibo is strongly tied to the game it is released for. A smash bros. Mario can be used in other games but it seems to not have the same memory space for other games. ... if that makes sense.
Not sure I wanna buy one Amiibo type (lets say Mario) for every game that is compatible.
Though this will ensure I am picky on which ones I buy.
Oh. A custom Mii Amiibo sounds awesome.

i'll get donkey kong, yoshi, and star fox... maybe not all at the same time, but yeah, i'll get at least one when they first come out
I am scared I may have to buy all of them just for the Hell of it.
I wonder how much the will cost?
I am sensing a Mario pack in with a special edition Smash Bros.

My only problem is my Link Amiibo most likely won't work with MK8... unless they patch on Link. That would be sick. .. Maybe Link is there waiting for my Amiibo to unlock him. Doubt it.
So i guess my one concern is how a Mario figure may have more value/use then say a Link, Animal Crossing villager, Samus or whatever.
I plan on buying more then one anyway, But it feels not all Amiibos will work in all compatible games.
NEither good out bad. Just the way it may be.
I am very curious if Nintendo would make you buy a Link figure to play him on say MK8. Doesn't sound very Nintendo like.

Just because link is female doesn't mean the need a prince zelda. Linkette saving princess zelda could actually be pretty cool
More of a bad joke. Sorry for the confusion.

Maybe it is Link's long lost sister Linka, and we find out Ganon is their father. .. oh wait I am thinking Star wars.http://www.nintendo-...itly-said-link/
Aonuma responded: “No one explicitly said that that was Link” followed by a smile and laugh. Connections to Link’s opening blue garb in The Wind Waker were also met with a smile, but the Zelda series producer wouldn’t be pushed for more information.

Nintendo still has an upwards battle to fight. Most of the heavy hitters are coming out next year. Even X. And if Smash falls out of 2014 and goes to 2015 it's going to be bad.
That is a good point, But for me I have MK8 now, Hyrule Warriors later.
I don't need 1-2 games a month for one system due to the fact I play games on multiple systems. Still, Very exciting news to me and stuff is much closer now.

We already knew it was in game.
Did anyone doubt it was in engine footage?
Oh right, people dont believe it because 'lol wii u'
The thought of cg didn't even cross my mind until this thread.
I just assumed since it was Nintendo we were seeing in game footage.

I like the feel when you are basically controlling a cartoon.
Feels less like a game and more like an experience.
Hard to explain but maybe someone knows what I mean.

I think Link actually is a girl in this one. Or that might actually be Zelda. That cloak is highly reminescent of the one worn by zelda to hide her face in games like tp.
I dunno. Too early to say you are wrong. Looks male to me, But i am watching on a S3. Maybe I need a S5 or Note 3
No. The spinning ones in the air didnt shoot, nor did the spinning ones in the ground.
The enemy isnt a monster, its a hylian magical machination like an armos statue, or the guardian of the tower of the Gods, running rampant. It does fire EXACTLY the same type of projectiles, with the same impressive speed as Ghodan from wind waker, and looks very similar in design astetic, which is Hylian.
Its weakness is a crystal gem on the back of its turret, which link targets with the upgraded arrows (Bomb/fire arrows) at the end of the trailer.
Thanks for the clarification.

The part in the field looked perfectly Zelda to me, but the enemy was out of place and the action was way over the top. But I can't wait to see gameplay. This game will be a groundbreaking change for the series, definitely.
It has been ages. .. But weren't they spinning bad guys early on in the original that shot something at you? I think it was an updated version of that. A hell of a lot more intense!
Damn. I can't wait.

Yeah. The arrow attack looked good, But I couldn't tell if that was some kind of QuickTime event or a power up move or what. Can't wait to see the proper gameplay. Hope they at least show some more, unless they're waiting for e3 2015.
I like compete control in combat, Not fire and forget moves.
I guess a special finishing move is okay, But they get old after a few.
Too early to tell. They probably just wanted something dramatic. That did work.

As someone who has played Zelda since the NES days I can only share my thought that it feels very Zelda like to me.Look at Link's face.. and that enemy... it doesn't feel like Zelda at all...
But that scenery, holy rainbow. It's all I've ever wanted in a Zelda game.
I'm confused but excited.
This series has always changed its art style based on what they have for hardware really.
I saw a lone adventurer in a vast land being attacked by a what-the-hell.
What more do you need?
Oh. And he had a tunic and arrow.
I am sold.
Special edition for me please.

I think this style won't be very controversial at all.
I think it will do to the fact you will always and forever have the faction that wants the more "realistic" look.
Nintendo always does a great job of getting the most out of hardware limitations (like SS).
WW was awesome in my mind. But many disliked it because they wanted something different.
Same thing will happen here.
Funny thing is we just hear more about it due to the fact opinions can be so easily shared these days.

Holy gosh dang darn hellfire.
This looks absolutely awesome.
This will be controversial like WW for sure. I for one love the style and cel shaded look. Very vibrant and alive.
Well done Nintendo. Plus the arrow looks awesome.
