If the US doesn't get involved, then they are heartless. If the US gets involved, then it's obviously because of imperialism. Damned the US do, damned if the US doesn't.
that is how are nation is always viewed, if we dont act like the worlds police people get mad at us for not helping people, yet when we do help even the ones we help turn around in the end and take shots at us

another issue is if the revolution succeeds there is a high chance it will become a Radical theocracy which is worse then a dictatorship, i believe many want a democracy but that doesnt mean they have much chance of getting it

I don't think we should ignore the situation completely. I mean, people are getting murdered by the masses. Then again, I don't think we should go into a war with Syria and their allies.
I don't believe it is moral to do nothing when people by the masses are getting killed. We were at one point aware that jewish people were being killed in World War II, but we eventually intervened. Should we really just sit by and do nothing and let the situation get worse?
From what I heard the US is trying to get NATO to do something, the US is also thinking of using an air strike to take out the dictators air force

The last time the US meddled in other people's affairs, 9/11 happened.
So I'm on the fence on whether or not the US should stick its head where it doesn't belong.
this is true, even though we had a purpose for going in and fighting and others joined because of 9/11 it just got strung out due to politics and now a lot of people bash the US for being there, if we intervene in Syria this will most likely happen again except there may be more issues due to Russia and China
I agree something needs to be done but the issue is we already have our hands tied in one war if we go sticking our heads into this one it can cause much more trouble then we need.
Maybe it is time for some other nation to play world police

Revolution is coming, and that aside, there is NO reason for Snipers to EVER be called out to attack protesters, riot police would be the understandable type of unit to use after all they can handle the crowd and if it is too violent they can use some tear gas to smother a riot, so no matter how you look at this all of these deaths were murders

these insane topics are a pain, but other then that the most painful thing i ever had happen was going down hill on a dirt bike and having it flip over on me when i was 10, the worst thing i ever had happen was in the mountains shooting a .44 cal magnum, when the guy went to raise his arm to aim it discharged and hit a rock close by....and for those of you who dont know, rocks make bullets ricochet and go in almost any direction including back towards the user
