Posted by Crimson_Engage on 27 December 2012 - 08:50 AM in Wii U Hardware Help

Mine has this too on some days and on others it doesn't. Not too worried about it.

#151677 Gamepad freezing/locking up

Posted by Crimson_Engage on 24 December 2012 - 10:48 PM in Wii U Hardware

My gamepad never lags and can be played rooms away. Perhaps you can take yours back and exchange it for a working one.

Yea, I can play mine room's away too even with door's shut. I finally got it fixed. I just let it run and it corrected itself. Gave me a bit of a scare. They need to patch this stuff up fast before it ends up breaking someones console.

This is getting old. There is no reset button so I have to hard reset the console by pulling the plug. Now the gamepad is laggy and seem's to lose connection to the console rather easy. Even if the pad is 1 foot away it's laggy! What the hell is this? How do I fix the issue?

GameStop's site says it comes out 12/31/2013 for Wii U. This can't be right?

It also says that it comes out 2/12/2013 for the 360 and PS3. Not sure what's going on. But if I have to wait for the Wii U version I might as well just buy the game for Xbox. -____-

#150454 Mario Party 2 on Club Nintendo - Wii Ware

Posted by Crimson_Engage on 21 December 2012 - 09:04 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Gah, I don't have a classic controller or a pro. I might buy one later.

#150449 Mario Party 2 on Club Nintendo - Wii Ware

Posted by Crimson_Engage on 21 December 2012 - 08:53 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Yea, just sign up, enter the codes for whatever games you have purchased and you are good to go. Every game you buy gives you coins you can spend in the store. I only have 260 saved up so I wanted to buy this or keep saving for something else.

Posted by Crimson_Engage on 21 December 2012 - 08:47 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I want to buy it off Club Nintendo for the virtual console but I was wondering if a wiimote would work with it or the game pad? Or do I need to get a pro-controller?

Edit- It says you need a Wii (just got rid of mine). Can MP2 and 1080 not be purchased for the Wii U?

#149695 Wii U gamepads are being sold for

Posted by Crimson_Engage on 19 December 2012 - 02:09 PM in Wii U Hardware

Alright.. here's the catch.

IT HAS A BIG MOTHERhorsing SCREEN ON IT! Was everyone expecting it to be the price of a regular controller? It's common sense, more parts = more expensive.

And? The screen is still made of plastic. (which in this day and age is CHEAP)

Guess, i'll just have to wait for Mad Catz to make their own cheaper version of the GamePad until the Wii U's go on sale.

I suggest everyone take good care of the one that came with the console lest you want to spend a small fortune. Not sure about you, but for me money doesn't grow on horsing trees.

#149692 This is the silliest response from a developer/producer yet

Posted by Crimson_Engage on 19 December 2012 - 02:04 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Everyone bashing Konami need to keep their mouths closed. They are doing what's right for business.

For starters, the Wii U doesn't come with a Pro Controller. They aren't going to make a game for the Wii U when a lot of people don't one a Pro Controller. (their game is designed to utilize controllers like the 360/ps3 not a gamepad)

Second, as someone else stated the Wii U doesn't even have $1 million users. It's an extremely small install base.

Anyways, luckily for me I own all platforms.

#149687 Wii U gamepads are being sold for

Posted by Crimson_Engage on 19 December 2012 - 01:56 PM in Wii U Hardware

Wii U Game Pads are now available for sale individually in the UK for £89. That price tag translates into $144 US dollars.

I don't see this price being too justifiable. Now if it could make me some coffee, then ok. This is stupid.

Oh what the hell. I'll just use the TV speakers and buy a headset just to communicate.

#149574 NINTENDO TV COMING TOMORROW!

But how can I watch 3 hours of Money Night RAW on the gamepad when the battery doesn't last that long?

#149307 Pokemon Snap + Wii U gamepad = :D

Posted by Crimson_Engage on 18 December 2012 - 01:15 PM in Wii U Games and Software

As a matter of fact it could be far better than the original if you think about it.

1. Make the game open world. Unlike the first game that was on rails and you were stuck in a cart. The second game could be open world and you use the thumb sticks to move around and what not then when you want to take a photo of a Pokemon you just hold up the game pad.

2. Better graphics obviously

3. Since the original Pokemon snap there have been hundreds of NEW Pokemon meaning a lot more content.

4. The gamepad can also be used as the pokedex!

#149292 Pokemon Snap + Wii U gamepad = :D

Posted by Crimson_Engage on 18 December 2012 - 12:40 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Think about it. A Pokemon Snap 2 on the Wii U would be amazing considering you can use the game pad as the camera. I remember when the Nintendo 64 had a special Blue and Yellow Pokemon edition console that came with a copy of Pokemon Snap. Good times!

Any objections?

#149252 Why is there no Reset button?

Posted by Crimson_Engage on 18 December 2012 - 09:51 AM in Wii U Hardware

This boggles the mind. I see no logical reason to remove the Reset button or not have one at all. Every Nintendo Consoles (we aren't talking about Handhelds) has had a Reset button.

The other day my Wii U locked up while the Miiverse was loading. I pressed the power button on the gamepad to shut it and the system off and that didn't work. The Gamepad turned off but the console was still on as the display was still on the TV screen. The console was hard locked and I had to pull the power cord out to turn it off.

More bad decision making on Nintendo's part.

#149251 John Carmack: "A lot of next gen games will still target 30 fps."

Posted by Crimson_Engage on 18 December 2012 - 09:42 AM in Wii U Hardware

unfortunately, I can pretty much guarantee that a lot of next gen games will still target 30 fps.
https://twitter.com/...752127238889473

I kind of expected something like this to occur. I feel that few developers will be able to utilize 60FPS 1080p properly while most developers' games will target 30FPS 1080p.

The guy works in the industry.

He also stated that RAGE would run at 60fps with those amazing textures. No, the game runs at 60fps with garbage textures.

#149206 Age of wii u buyers

Posted by Crimson_Engage on 18 December 2012 - 06:59 AM in Wii U Hardware

Hello, I recently bought myself a Wii u, and have been having quite a bit of fun with but I was wondering how old are the average buyers. I'm 29 and would like to find some older players to play black ops 2 with

I'm 26.

Grew up with NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, N64, Virtual Boy (ugh), Fat Gameboy, PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, Game Cubes, Game Gears, Jaguar, Wii (hated it and now Wii U)

And of course, the hardcore always have a nice high end custom gaming PC.

#149205 Question: How to protect the little people that play Wii U?

Posted by Crimson_Engage on 18 December 2012 - 06:56 AM in Wii U Hardware

The best protection is to just monitor them really. The Miiverse is well moderated. You won't find any bad stuff on it. (at least I haven't).
As for them buying things, don't use a credit card. Always go to the store and buy the points cards.
