#238690 What are the best job search engines/sites?

Posted by BnB on 11 August 2013 - 09:14 PM in The Café

I'm not sure to be honest. I've never found a job from using search engines EVER.

Though, I've used them to get ideas of what jobs are actually hiring.

Say if like.... Snag-a-job posts that Pizza Hut is hiring, instead of applying for Pizza Hut through Snag-a-job, give the actual location of the Pizza Hut that you're considering applying at a call and ask them yourself if they are hiring. Do the same for every other place your considering working at.

Like I said before, these job search engines have NEVER worked for me, but have worked in giving me ideas of places to apply at.

Only submit applications to jobs that specifically tell you to apply online at a certain website.

#238306 Wonderful 101 is the reason to own a Wii U

Posted by BnB on 10 August 2013 - 01:38 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Worked just fine in okami. You just seem adverse to learning new things, because in order to get good at something new, you first have to be bad at it. But you REALLY dont like thinking or figuring things out. You want everything done for you.

If you DID actually try to learn things on your own, you would have mitigated your dislike for having to draw so much by equipping the unite force gem, and simply held down the a button to max size your unite weapon, instead of drawing people in.

Not liking a style of game is COMPLETELY different than pretending you are awesome at this style of game and thus state you can tell its 'shallow' and 'poorly done' when you dont have the first clue how to play.

That would be either a silver or bronze medal.

Which would be B.ad or C.rappy in the viewtiful joe rankings that started the rank structure. And thats with lucking out with platinums on 2 puzzle missions you almost cant get less on. The game knows you button mashed. Congratulations, you made it through a demo by button mashing and got a horrible score.

Unless you learn how to play, you wont make it past the tutorial level of a platinum/clover action game. This ISNT a grasshopper/suda game.

Preach!

I can't wait to hear their thoughts once Bayonetta 2 comes out.

It'd be nice to see them "abondon casual players" for me...

but it wouldn't be smart for them to do it.

#237945 The Wonderful 101 had Platinum's biggest team size and their longest de

Posted by BnB on 08 August 2013 - 05:28 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I still think they should pull back, Ubisoft and Sony pulled back because they know the sales of Rayman Legends & the 4 people who are buying KZ Mercenary will be low as hell because of GTAV. But if they're still going for that day....huge nuts.

What kind of philosophy is this?

#237512 Valve manages to count to 3 maybe

Posted by BnB on 06 August 2013 - 07:45 PM in General Gaming

No one wants this..... no one asked for this...

Give me Portal 3

LFD is the worst Valve franchise next to Team Fortress

Valve needs to just get rip of all their other IP's.... sell them all, except for Portal, and then just make new Portal games every year

Come again?

#237341 The Fitness and Exercise Thread

Posted by BnB on 06 August 2013 - 04:30 AM in The Café

I suffer from really bad gym fear, today I went to my local gym and got to the door and looked inside and just had get away. I was like "who am I kidding? I will never have the nerve to go into a room full of complete strangers, most of them much bigger and taller than me, and ask the guy at reception to sign me up without my voice quiwering from the sheer fear and nervousness and sounding like a right girl."

Damn, I don't even like going out anyway in public anywhere, so going to a gym is just out of the question.

Edit: Rather ironic that I have a Shyguy pic under my avatar.

lol I used to fear the gym aswell.

It's really not that bad, everybody just keeps to themselves. Might help to bring a buddy for a few days until you get used to it. After that, you should be fine,

#237262 Taking a hiatus in social media for quite a while

Posted by BnB on 05 August 2013 - 05:32 PM in The Café

And as an adult, you learn that if you're not welcome somewhere, you can simply go somewhere else.
Blaming other people is easier though, and making it seem like they're a detriment to your life is more fun because of all that sweet attention.

lol I see what you're getting at but...

The op isn't an adult though so we can't expect everybody to react to bullying or "not being welcome" the same way as someone else would. Even if you don't consider it bullying I'm pretty sure you can say that "hurling insults" and calling someone a "kid with no future," just for sharing their opinion isn't okay. He obviously can't stand up for himself yet.

Haven't really seen the op beg for attention that often so a little venting is fine.

#237258 Taking a hiatus in social media for quite a while

Posted by BnB on 05 August 2013 - 05:10 PM in The Café

It's not bullying, because you can turn off the computer or go to other websites.

Bullying is when you're forced into situations where someone is abusing you, not just being abused by choice.

Still considered cyberbullying.

Cyberbullying -
the electronic posting of mean-spirited messages about a person (as a student) often done anonymously

#237066 What did you use to believe when you were a kid?

Posted by BnB on 04 August 2013 - 02:45 PM in The Café

Our home didn't have a chimney so I always wondered how gifts got under the Christmas tree. My parents told me Santa Claus rang the doorbell to give us the gifts o.0

I used to believe in the tooth fairy. So I would put my teeth under my pillow and expect money to be there, but no one ever took my teeth! BAD PARENTS! lol jp

Don't know why, but I thought anal sex was the form of sex ;/

#236910 The Fitness and Exercise Thread

Posted by BnB on 03 August 2013 - 06:41 PM in The Café

Exercise: weight training is the best form of exercise for weight loss mixed in with some cardio. Work out 3 times per week for  an hour each session, no less no more. you must give your body 1 day to fully recover after an intense work out. Only doing Cardio will aid to muscle wasting, which you do not want, so instead of burning fat you burn muscle tissue and then you end up skinny fat. plus weight training boosts testosterone and has a longer metabolic effect than simple running, also you build lean muscle which burns fat! the best form of cardio is HITT. Also walking is very good form of exercise.
