i am so disciplined, i made my wife get it today, wrap for christmas without me even seeing it. and i preordered. but for real, this looks like it could be the best ever and I'm scared I might not finish WW HD. i am shocked at all the 10/10's though

#255549 How do you feel about Wii U?

Posted by dustinb12 on 11 November 2013 - 07:11 AM in Wii U Games and Software

F-U-N fun. that's the bottom line. Nintendo's games are just pure fun, regardless of my age, who or how many people I'm playing with. When this console was announced, there was no hesitation from me. I was getting one. I don't really care about specs, frame rates and all the other stuff i don't really understand. I just know that the games will be fun. I learned my lesson with the gamecube. 3 of my all time  favorite games were on that console (SM Sunshine, Double Dash, Windwaker). A console that was technically in-superior, but had the most fun games on it.

Gamepad= i wasn't digging it at first, but after playing Nintendoland and Windwaker with it (games it was designed for) it feels so natural. this was a good idea

Virtual console= I'm an older gamer, so seeing some of these games get rereleased on a fresh console is a huge sell point for me. its nostalgia and the chance of playing games i couldn't get as a child

Im in the "other" category=  Assassin's Creed, COD, etc. commercials all look really really cool. It's hard to judge because i don't own other consoles, but I'm just not interested in playing these huge epic movie looking games. Some of us really like whimsical, cartoony, fun games in which i collect coins or save princesses.

hope this helps, good luck on your paper!

#254506 What games do you want nintendo to bring back?

Posted by dustinb12 on 04 November 2013 - 06:48 AM in Wii U Games and Software

obviously metroid, star fox and f zero would look great on this console, but my real answer is Maniac Mansion. look it up

#252914 Rumor: Nintendo bringing “Super Mario 64 reUmagined” and other updated classics

Posted by dustinb12 on 24 October 2013 - 05:52 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Double Dash and SM Sunshine would make more sense.(and me happy) Think of the colors and sounds of Sunshine in HD. It doesn't matter, i'd play 64 again if the controls get tighter

#250816 Duck tales wii u launch thread

Posted by dustinb12 on 10 October 2013 - 12:12 PM in Wii U Games and Software

this is by far one of the just purest fun games ever. when i was a kid (1989) my friend let me borrow his NES copy for one night and i never forgot how fun it was. i dloaded this the day it came out and just love it. on a pure fun level, i'd put over Lego Star Wars. it's just fun. it really helps if you grew up watching Unca Scrooge too. and for all the youngsters out there= all the games were this tough back then, and no internet to bail me out

#248176 Wind Waker HD - Who's playing?

Posted by dustinb12 on 26 September 2013 - 01:36 PM in Wii U Games and Software

to the folks who have never played it before: you are going through the same things i did 10 yrs ago. "How could i like a game like this?" i played some parts for my wife and became instantly hooked. this became my favorite game ever, i never bought another playstation or any other brand console, and have since collected all Zelda titles in some form or fashion and beaten them all. some a few times including Windwaker. I  have a few tattoos due to this game as well. Long story short, this is a fantastic adventure that will suck you in. You will be emotionally involved and not disappointed imo. All this for a game in which characters don't even talk!

And to answer the question: oct 4 it's on
