The best looking game (graphically speaking) that I have played so far is Lego City.
I think that some of the visuals in Batman: Arkham Asylum are beautiful as well.

^^^ Awesome!!!!!
Glad to hear it.
Just last night I asked my wife if she minded if I played Lego City for a bit cuz she was tired.
She said "Sure I'll join you on the couch."
Then proceeded to watch and throw in commentary for 3 hours.
Awesome!!!!

Hey thanks! I wasn't sure if I should get this game, because of all the mediocre reviews, but once I'm able to I'll probably pick it up! I love me some spider-man
Nice!!!
Glad I could give you some first hand gameplay info.
I'm still loving the game but it hasn't been getting much attention for the past 2 weeks because Lego City Undercover & Walking Dead: SI have been constantly in the Wii U.
I'm sure that once I beat Lego City that Spiderman will get back in the regular mix. ![]()

^^ Well as long as you're not gonna go and trade in the console just because of slow DL speeds or some crap.
I'm sure that if this is a widespread problem that Nintendo will eventually patch the issue. (Eventually being the key word here)

^^^ How about some Katamari Damacy love for us Wii U owners!!!!!
I was almost certain that a Katamari would eventually come out for Wii just simply based on the motion control scheme. That would fit perfectly for that series.
Now with the added element of the gamepad this could be amazing for the series.
Anyone else think this is good idea?

^^^ Well now I'm sold on this game!!!!
I thought it would be pretty cool but after reading the interview with the Lead Dev and watching the Gameplay trailer I will definitely be picking up this Wii U Exclusive Gem!!!!
This is what I'm talking about when I refer to "ports".
It's technically a "port" but a reimagined one with new features and a graphical overhaul. Heck Yes SquarEnix!!!!!!

With so many games to play, finally got around to posting back in this thread with my thoughts on the game. I started off on the human level of difficulty as I want to be eased into the game and learn the control mechanics. As nothinglost said, same combat system as Arkham City. I agree, the first boss was definitely awesome and after defeating it, you just get drawn into more of the game.
Nice, glad you dig the game too.
I was pleasantly surprised by it after all of the "Meh" reviews that kept popping up but like I've always said....
You have to play a game to know if you enjoy it. ![]()

Just in case anyone else was interested in trying their hand at Developing an Application or a Game....
Here are two helpful links for you.
Unity Download (Free & Pro Versions)
http://unity3d.com/unity/download/
Nintendo Development Questionaire

I just finished downloading and installing Unity.
I also submitted a request to Nintendo to become a Developer.
Hoping to get my feet wet and see how it goes.....

No its not. I don't have the same issue on my 3DS, PS Vita, iPhone or iPad. Even when I had my PS3 and Xbox 360 on wireless they were a lot faster with downloads. The download speeds on the Wii U are totally unacceptable. Fortunately I have no intention of downloading full retail games and even digital only games except for the odd one. The only things I do download are demos and the firmware updates.
Hmmm.... I have no idea then man.
That just sucks that it's only on your Wii U.

^^^ I honestly think that is specifically an internet speed connection issue.
I have never had any issues with Downloads on my Wii U.
When everyone was saying the System Updates were taking them hours and hours and hours it only took my console about 45 minutes to download and then 10 minutes to Install. So my hypothesis is that it isn't an issue with the console itself but rather an issue with how many pipes are open on your network and how much bandwidth your router is giving the Wii U.
Just my two cents. ![]()

Anyone else like the nintendo references throughout the game? I think it's cool and amusing. Also two words of advice, beware: Sharks .
^^^ Dude seriously!!!
The first time we encountered a shark it definitely made everyone in the room jump and shout!!! It was awesome!!!!
Now our daughter always wants to get eaten by the shark down by the ferry. Too funny.
I've only encountered 1 Nintendo reference so far and it was a sound clip. Pretty neat!!!

Fair enough. We will have to agree to disagree.
Well good. Hehehehe.... ![]()
Anyways.... Good games (whether ports or not) are always a good thing.
So bring on the 3rd Party & Indie Support!!!!! Woohoo!!!

I disagree. If you want to play those games then you should buy a PS3 or 360. They are cheap enough. I already own both and have played or can play the games I want on them. I don't want the Wii U inundated with the same games just because developers and publishers are too lazy or don't want to invest the money in new games. That's not what I bought a Wii U for.
So let's agree to disagree. ![]()
I here what you are saying but honestly I don't want to own any other consoles.
I want Nintendo to get my money because of their philosophy on customer service and quality products.
I was burned by Sony years ago and I refuse to buy their consoles/handhelds and I just flat out don't enjoy Microsoft products at all. Including PC software.
I'm not trying to start an argument or anything lame like that. Hehehe... Just merely stating my thoughts on the matter.

Hi Bro,
I agree with you, and with the choices the OP listed... it's really hard actually to pick two even though I did. I agree as well the Amazing Spiderman is solid. Same combat system as Batman Arkam City, open world gameplay, and even though it's based off a movie... it's FUN!
Totally man.
Maybe it's just me but I seem to be enjoying some of the games that Critics are panning.
Amazing Spiderman
Walking Dead: Survival Instinct
Zombie U

I have never played a lego game before because they all look childish. This is the first one that catches my interest though and I have to ask, which open world is better, this game or assassins creed 3? I heard AC3 is boring and kinda dead... how about lego city? any random world events happen similar to red dead redemption?
Well I can't speak for AC3 as I haven't played it yet but I can speak for Lego City.
The open world in Lego City is very very similar to the open breathing world in GTA: Vice City.
Random events happen all over the place in Lego and they are almost always very funny and entertaining.
I would totally pick up this game if you're looking for a free roaming open world experience. ![]()

Here's my 2 cents.
Definitely get Lego City Undercover!!!!!
I own Amazing SpiderMan and (drumroll)........ I actually really like it.
It's a solid open world comic book game that plays very similar to Batman: Arkham City mixed with SpiderMan 2 (PS2)

^^ Yup, that's how I feel too.
Everyone is absolutely entitled to their own opinion and subsequently many will differ which is great.
But..... The way that went about this is just awful PR for himself and his Dev Company.

I would love as many Director's Cut/GOTY Edition ports as possible!!
Personally, as a gamer who has never owned a 360 or a PS3 I will welcome all Ports with welcome arms simply because I have never even had the opportunity to play any of them.
I'm sure I'm not alone in this category....
Went straight from Gamecube/PS2 to Wii and then on to Wii U.
