If you've been following video game news for any length of time, chances are you've heard of Michael Pachter, the video game industry analyst from Wedbush Securities. He's best known for his controversial "predictions" that, more often than not, turn out to be completely false; but every now and then, he does say something worth taking in and thinking about, like his recent comments on the Wii 2's horsepower.
So, what do you think of Michael Pachter? Is he just an analyst doing his job, or a professional troll that deserves a horrible death? Are his opinions valid, or should they be thrown together on the large pile of generally baseless Interwebs speculation?

I don't know, but he sounds like hes working hard to give people the information about the Wii 2.
Glad he works hard.

It's human to make mistakes, so I can forgive him for those, especially because the game industry is relatively new. Heck, he even realizes his mistakes, so his future predictions are more likely to be accurate.
And, like you said, some of the things he says makes you think. Like everything on the internet, don't believe him at first glance, but put what he says up to your own knowledge of the industry/games. You'll get a more accurate picture that way.
Of course, I haven't known about him for long, so who knows? He might always be waaay off XD

I not know why he still has a job if any random guy could do exactly the same thing, perhaps better.
Hello, I am Roy.

Ah, everything in the media has someone like this man here. It's his job, and he's doing it good. Ofcourse, what he says can't be all true, but it can't be all wrong either.
