Hi guys. I'm going to tell a story that may baffle a lot of you; even I'm at a loss of what to do. Here's basically the rundown of events:

- Bought a brand new Wii U, along with 3 games: Nintendo Land, Monster Hunter and Wii Party U. Each of the games are brand new.

- Both Nintendo Land and Monster Hunter work perfectly.

- Pop in Wii Party U, and at the start menu it comes up with Error Code 150-1031 (you know, the one that tells you to clean the disc, etc.) The disc is sparkling clean, not a blemish on it.

- We clean it anyway, just to be sure. Still nothing. So, we go back to the store and swap the game for a new one.

- This one actually manages to get past the opening title, but it freezes and crashes when you try to play any of the games.

- So, thinking we were just twice unlucky, we return the game for a third brand new one - this time from a different store.

- The disc is again spotless and again fails to read the disc at all, giving us the same error code. You can hear the console struggling and the music abruptly stops before freezing.

- After reading countless advice on the 150-1031 error code, we decide to exchange the console for a brand new one, thinking maybe it's just a hardware/disc drive error.

- ... And you can guess happened next. Put in Wii Party U, on a brand new console, and it gets stuck on the loading screen again.

So, if it's not the game itself, and it's not the console ... then... what is the problem?! We'll probably call Nintendo tomorrow, but we can't really see the point of sending the disc or console away, when we have already replaced both with the same results. What's worse is that we can't find anyone on the internet who has the same issue, with first-party games (usually it's third-party games like Ubisoft titles.)

Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you for reading.

(I should also note, that each time we got a new copy of the game, we deleted the old save data to start over.)

I have this exact same problem except mine is with NintendoLand.  Have you gotten anywhere with this?
