on a recent trip to best buy i noticed they sell monster wii u hdmi cables.

Has anyone tried it?

is it worth it?

Can any hdmi cable work with the wii u?

$50 for a cable is steep for me considering how much i just dropped on my new system, but i'm always looking for that perfect picture/sound

don't bother, they are over priced and really don't offer any better connection then lower priced cables. don't pay more then 20 bucks for hdmi, seriously. avoid monster, they are simply over priced.

You could buy much better HDMI cables that are longer, and 1/5th of the price.

Agreed. Monster cables in general are way over priced but for HDMI I'm particular a cheap one will work just as well. One of the ones I'm using at the moment cost me only 99 pence and it works great.

Yeah, see what people don't realize is that HDMI sends data in binary (digital), there is no loss in quality no matter what cable you use.

"Monster" tries to sell $50 cables to people who think that "gold plated, heavily shielded, and kryptonite wires" gives you a better signal on through HDMI like the older Composite/RCA jacks aka Analog signals. (There is no such thing as Kryponite wires, just giving an example... lol)

Save yourself some money and go to the dollar store and buy a $6 cable.

I use these ones http://goo.gl/gCJT5 there is no need to spend loads on Monster ones but a skinny cheapo one for a dollar is not really worth it, it is worth spending a little on a decent cable.
