So I just started playing splatoon and discovered my right analog stick doesn't work. It turns my camera fine but when I press it down it doesn't acknowledge that I did anything. My son got it to work a couple times by pushing down and wiggling it all about. I haven't got it to work. In that game you push the right analog stick down to do your special move.... Any advice in how to fix it? Or should I send it back and not get to play splatoon for up to 21 days?

My Pro controller right analog is messed up also. Don't know how it just is all messed up. Won't click in any more and works when it wants to <_<

Tiy could probably get a Nintendo screwdiver off amazon for like 5 bucks. Take the controller apart and see.

In Splatoon you can only tourn left right, when you have enabled the motion controlls. You have to move up and down, to look in that directions ;)

Yeah, but to do the special move you push the right analog stick down is the problem. That's what doesn't work....

My old 3DS went through a period of a couple weeks where the R button refused to work (this happened when I was playing Dream Team, a game where the R button is necessary for advancement).  So, I stopped playing, and moved onto different games, but I found that when I went back, the button had begun to work again on its own.  Sometimes things might act broken, but you just have to give them time.  Who knows?  Maybe there's a crumb or something stuck under your analog stick, and you just need to wiggle it around a bit more.

I don't think you should send it in quite yet.  If the problem persists within the next couple weeks, however, you might have no other option than to send the thing to Nintendo to be fixed.

Oh i'm sorry man, i thought you mean in the direction down :P

Ok that is indeed not good. I would call Nintendo if they can replace it, at least as long your GP is in repair.
