Think this confirms what most of us suspected:

Stand by for an NX Zelda U announcement as well.

Saving grace is that Zelda for Wii U has already been in development for a while... few years or so? Even if NX launches in 2016 or 2017, they still wouldn't have the game (MP) ready for NX at launch..

Just a hunch anyways. He stated it would take 3 years or so of dev time and they haven't started (according to the article) .

It irks me to know that they never considered a Metroid game for the Wii U.

I posted an article earlier that Next Level briefly did but the time/costs of developing led them to doing the Federation Force for 3DS. In early planning stages they discussed the Wii U platform..

Seems Nintendo's own dev studios don't even want to develop for the Wii U. LMAO

That's quite depressing.

You never know, this was just about Metroid Prime. I would love to see something in the style of Other M, but great like Super Metroid. I know this is not going to happen, but a man can dream, yeah?

Maybe that's the reason why Starfox and Zelda U are gonna be on Wii U, they started development before the Wii U started selling so poorly.

I think they'll release Zelda on the NX as well though, that game probably costs a lot to develop and they want sales :P

And it seems that developers are smart in the sense that they're waiting for their next console to make games in hopes that it will sell well...

The Wii U has been selling poorly since a few weeks after release. It's selling better now.
