I guess you're talking about the parental control pin? (don't think there's any other)

Unfortunately as far as I know there's no further way to truly reset the console if you don't know the PIN, and you might want to contact the previous owners for the PIN.

I'm not 100% sure though, so it might be smart to wait for another person to reply.

I don't know if the Wii U uses the same parental controls as the original Wii but if it does this might be worth a shot: http://uk.answers.ya...05135539AAAAq6R

If that doesn't work I recommend you contact Nintendo directly, explain that you bought second-hand and need to remove the parental locks. I'm sure they'll be able to help.

Go to the one who sold you the Wii U and tell him/her what is the PIN.
Simple.

Actually you can reset the pin number there should be a forgot pin option on the parental controls in the system setup option from the wii u main menu look for the wrench and click it then select parental controls then after that it should say on the game pad forgot pin forgot security question answer it will then ask you to dial a 1-800 number to get it reset give the number that appears on screen to the nintendo service rep to get it reset it will ask you how old you are and why you needed it reset just tell them you purchased the console used and needed to disable the parental controls in order to play games because the previous owner locked out all games it will then reset the console then do a system format but a warning here...

And listen...

IF YOUR CHILD IS UNDER THE AGE OF 12 HE OR SHE CANNOT ACCESS MIIVERSE SECTIONS CONTAINING MATURE CONTENT SO IF YOUR KID IS ABOUT TO PLAY CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS 2 OR ASSASSINS CREED 3 THE AGE ON THE NINTENDO ACCOUNT WHICH IS FREE MUST BE SET TO A DIFFERENT AGE I RECOMMEND MAKING HIM 16 OR OLDER BECAUSE THIS RESTRICTION IS UNFAIR TO GAMERS AND LIMITS SEVERAL GAMES FEATURES.

Also make sure you get a external hard drive i recommend a 2 tb external wd my book essential it works great with the wii u black ops alone take 4 gig's of storage away from the console just in updating and first game save file creation
