An email going out to GameStop customers says that those of you that wish to trade-in Xenoblade Chronicles will get $45 trade-in value. The high trade-in value could be due to the fact that copies of Xenoblade Chronicles are now rather hard to come by. GameStop is also currently offering a 50% extra in-store credit for every game traded in.

Wow, this game is going to go up in price just like Metroid Prime Trilogy. I really need to buy it before it does .

Considering it sells for $49.99...brand new at retailers.....unless of course gamestop is going to get into the art of price hiking to go along with ebay prices...

Even with the $67.50 with the 50% extra trade in credit that I wouldnt even bite that deal and the game is just too rare.

That's why I'm confused why they are offering that much. Gamestop doesn't usually dabble in pricing rare games at ebay prices or anything...unless they are starting too.

Gamestop sells Metroid Prime Trilogy for $70 used last time I checked. And there is no way GS will pay $45 just to make a $5 profit, They're going to price hike it.

Still have my copy factory-sealed. Maybe I'll keep it sealed for some future $$$ and find a used copy to play.

$45 isn't even tempting, Xenoblade is too high on my favorite video games list.

I don't even play Xenoblade that much (not a big fan of the combat system. I'll try to get back to it someday) and even I wouldn't trade it in.

This is more common with rare Nintendo titles than you might think. Fire emblem radiant dawn is $56 used at GameStop. I just checked last night.

Just the other day i saw a copy of Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn for $36, should i get it?

My expectations for the series might be a little high after finishing Awakening but should i get it anyway?

Ebgames Australia were selling Xenoblade for $36 at one point but it was practically impossible to find a copy, i found one copy but they didn't offer me the discounted price despite the sale was still on. I really don't see why Nintendo doesn't make one more round of these, they know people want them, even if it were only another 10,000 copies that would still sell well.

Keep in mind, a used copy of Xenoblade goes about $80 on Ebay.
