Is it possible?
I mean almost all the threads zinix posts are copy-pastes from other places, and most news being posted is too.

The text is so small because the formatting on pastes is weird.
Is it possible to clear the text formatting from pastes all the time?
I know there's the little eraser button in rich text mode, but it seems everyone else either doesn't, or refuses to use it.

The poster doesn't have to do anything like that.Yes. You can rewrite the whole thing from scratch.
They just have to press ctrl and a, then hit the small image that looks like this
That'll clear all the formatting for them.
Often the text is size 8 or 9 and I just can't read it.
I don't see a point to keeping the formatting anyway, as the forum never replicates it properly from all I've seen.

Just right cick and there should be an option saying "paste text without format"

CKEditor works best with pastes if you use one of the three paste buttons (in the red box):
They offer a variety of options for handling the formatting of the content. With that said, I'd advocate a simple link to the original source over reproducing the content, anyway.
This site is actually running on an older version of IP.Board, and a variety of changes have been made to the editor since then. I'll look into getting us upgraded, which might come with some improvements to direct pasting.
