To be honest I'd be very upset too, it is indeed the best version I'm sure, but the only reason to but COD Black Ops II is for Zombie Mode.

I'm sure Nintendo fans who enjoy COD got COD for the Wii U, and I think it's very arrogant and up their own ass to expect COD to have been a killer app that attracted COD fans over to the Wii U and helped sell the platform, and expect everyone to enjoy COD.

It is however Nintendo's responsibility to attract people from that genre with exclusive titles that show off how much better gameplay is when you play a FPS on a Wii U. That way COD and Halo heads may turn and buy a Wii U, they'll try out the game and say "hey this is pretty sweet" THEN maybe they'd chose Wii U over PS/360/PS4/720, due to  game-play differences.

I myself have COD (again Zombie mode) on my amazon wish list but there are so many more interesting titles on Wii U that it's pretty low on my list.

Well most of us Wii-U owners already had this on xbox or ps3. But to be honest, Most nintendo owners hate COD. I do.

DLC was the main reason I didn't get it on Wii u and out of all truth since Wii u came out I haven't even touched my Xbox or ps3. I got it on Xbox. Nuketown played a huge part of it. Plus it didn't help that it came out later and the fact that they made you preorder to get nuke town originally then changed it down the road and left it out of the Wii u version.

I blame Activision for being greedy they tried forcing us to by early or two copies different consoles and we won't get nuke. They basically boned Nintendo on this by not including nuke town. The way they approached this in sales was oh everyone only owns one console. When really they own 2 or more when they play games like cod. If they would have included nuke town in Wii u version I would have waited. Bit since they didn't i got it for another console and I don't even play it

Three things, that source is bs, a lot of gamers bought Blops 2 on their PS360 bc of the bigger online community, and COD sold moderately well on Wii, even with graphics way below par, and late releases.

In short it's all about the install base and people wanting to play with friends/people online.

Trying to sell BO2 to Nintendo fans is like trying to sell meat to a vegan. It's not going to go well.

The difference is vegans don't complain that they're not getting meat.

This statement is false. The previous statement is true.

RIP in peace Nintendo.

I dislike your use of streotyping Nintendo fans in one group. I like all genres , I dont just buy Nintendo games , I dont want third parties to Nintendofy their games to get them sold on Nintendo systems. Its true I know some Nintendo fans like to stay in a nintendo only bubble and would prefer to stop gaming than to touch a third party game but that not all of us.

Edit: how did I messed that quote up.

That is true. But in reality, I don't hear Nintendo fans saying they aren't getting COD. I bought this version and I liked it, sure. But it was missing features that the others had and that was a problem.

One, I'm not sure how you messed that quote up. Lol Two, I wasn't saying Nintendo fans don't buy third party games. Clearly they do. But Nintendo fans like a certain type of game. I think Skylanders might have done better on the Wii U then COD. Nintendo fans in general have a higher expectation for games to be there best, and since BO2 wasn't the better version, and since most Wii owners all ready have 360 or PS3, why buy the inferior version? This is Activision's fault. Not Nintendo's.

Activision needs to also think that the market is very flooded with fps's maybe gamers are just starting to get fed up, how are developers not noticeing this???????

This.

DEBUNKED

It is not even an Activision statement.  Just some story from some unknown "indie" who claims to have heard from someone who might make game for for Activision, possibly maybe, etc.

this is the actual qualifier for this persons credentials:

"[indie dev] Hall claims to have met with “an employee for a studio that makes games for Activision” who revealed that Activision is extremely unhappy..."

that's all you need to know...

Wow.  I jumped on that one fast.  Reading too fast will do you in.

This thread and that "article" are officially joke-worthy.

And yet the damage is already done, the misinformation already spread.

And that is how the trench warfare goes as it  has always been.

Interesting how the one company that "seems" to honestly try to do things right and good always gets bit.
