Nvidia owns PhysX, this means they've licensed it.

What's confusing about it. Sony is using AMD hardware and has licenced Nvidia's software SDK's to be used in the development of PS4 games.

phscx is pc code so should work on up to date hardware. wont work as well on amd but still work overall.

I'm slightly confused by this release as the PS4 is using AMD CPU/GPU tech.
They have software PhysX engine as well. PhysX is required for some games regardless of whether or not you have the hardware. The runtime is installed on my machine and it is ALL AMD,
