Why isn't this game on the wii u?

Because the game was way in development before the Wii U, and to do a half arsed port would be pointless. So it wont be coming to Wii U, however there is a strong possibility that if Wii U sales perk up the sequel will be on Wii U

Well if there's money to be made, I'm sure their arms could be "twisted" unfortunately with such a small install base there may not be any point unless it was a director's cut with a ton of new features, something which the dev team probably want to concentrate on with the sequel rather than delay things and have to make a decent port.

I havn't played a Tomb Raider game in a long time, It sure would be nice.

From what I read, the dev loves the Wii U and all it does. But they wanted the pretty much the same experience across all consoles/pc, and the WiiU version would be too different.
