Its not that it can't, they just won't port the engine themselves.

No where in the story did it say Wii U cannot run or handle UE4. It appears more or less like a positional business stance then anything probably with MS and Sony in their pockets.

I NEVER thought I would be considering switching to someone other than Nintendo... But things are becoming crystal clear. After 20+ years of gaming on Nintendo Only products its looking like a change is coming. Nintendo for me E3 is your saving grace. Show up with bombs please I'm begging you.

He wanted the headlines, there is no other reason than to turn it into a joke.  It won't be long.

 

Also, the best games on Wii U are UE3?  Please...

I hope they do to, though I don't see switching consoles, I made that mistake with the Wii and missed out on some truly great games up to now, and I prejudged the 3DS, which is just now hitting its stride.

I love how when there are positive Wii U threads, most people (like GAMER1984) ignore them, but any type of negativity, and the doom and gloom people come rushing in to talk about how much trouble Wii U is in. Hmmm...

Thanks for your input, troll.  Regardless of what you think, the Wii U is in the 8th generation of gaming consoles.  Next gen it is, irrespective of capability, clock speeds, FLOPS, etc.

 

I hope you are able to sell it to someone who will enjoy it.

How so?  There is no confirmation of anything to be gleaned here other than "EPIC doesn't want to build UE4 for Wii U".  I thought we were past this hogwash.

 

If you are referring to the statement in the article, that was the Kotaku journalist saying it, someone who knows absolutely nothing about hardware, but likes to substantiate his own prejudice and opinion within his articles.
