What if at some point later in the Wii U life-span Retro decides to make a 3D Donkey Kong like DK64, what do you think the game's graphics would be like and would you like to see it?
Do you think Retro Studios should make a sequel to DK64?

No. If anything Retro's next project should be FZERO, or Donkey Kong Racing.

By no means should they do another DK at least not this time. Retro really need a head turning show stopping game like Metroid to make any impact. We've been waiting extremely long and for them to reveal a DK game it'd be a massive slap in the chops. DK games are relatively easy to program, and for them to suddenly stop their reveal at E3 last year for a silly DK game just would strip credibility from Retro IMO.

Later, as in afterward. There first project hasn't come out yet. For all we know their current project could be released in 2014. It's going to be a good 2-3 years before we even see their next project. I'd consider that later in the Wii U's life span.

We know that Retro's current project was at least in some form ready for reveal last year, and they've probably been working on it much longer than that. My hope is that they reveal and set a release date for either late this year, or early next.

This is why I suspect a new HD engine in development just for this game. It'd explain why they're taking their time. I suspect the engine they have for the Wii is outdated for Wii U games, I also suspect the cancelled E3 due to it not being jaw dropping enough and decided to improve the engine to fit more within Next Gen engines

Hell yes! DK64 was my favorite platformer ever. Seeing some ex-Rare members help with retro studios would be even better

Yes, I would love to see a sequel, I mean Retro has gotten me into DK more than Rare did. Heck they could call it Donkey Kong 128

I think DK64 should get a remake on the 3DS as well.

Perhaps not a sequel, but I'd love another 3D DK game. I loved DK64, and I think Retro could really make an epic successor to it. After all, some are calling Retro the new Rare...

Personally, a new Zelda or IP is what I want them to make. I think Metroid needs a rest after Other M.

I now understand. Lol

In my opinion, no. I personally thought Donkey Kong 64 was the worst DK game in the franchise. However, if they somehow managed to make the game good, then by all means.

I'm not saying I wouldn't want to see a new 3D DK game, just not by Retro Studios: they need to focus on making Western titles.
