That'd be quite neat. There also should be an auto save function and if you leave the page without posting a post, it asks you if you want to save your post as a draft. There should be this feature that automatically makes a draft of a post or topic your making so if you have to log off, you can start where you left off, kinda like in emails. It'd be a pretty good idea.

(But I don't know if possible...)That'd be quite awesome
And if that doesn't work, at least a sandbox section.

IP.Board already does this (the auto-save, anyway). Or...maybe IPB 3.2.1 does. I know for a fact I've seen posts auto-saving on IPS's own forums. Wait until I upgrade us to 3.2.1, then we'll see. That'd be quite neat. It is, however, designed more as a disaster recovery mechanism than a "dump your post here until you're ready to finish it" thing.
Uh, no. That's not happening. At that point, why don't you just write your post as an email to yourself or a text file on your computer? You could also save your post as a draft personal conversation if you must keep it with your forum account....a sandbox section.
