It's still a LOT better in the same room, face to face.

I see your point, however Mario Party is best enjoyed in the same room with friends. I couldn't imagine myself playing it with strangers online.

That being said, I do hope it'll at least be implemented.

Couldn't you make a case for that with EVERY Nintendo game though?

I'm hyped. Loved the DS game to death. More of the same is really all that's needed, but I wouldn't mind some online, friends only. Random strangers and MarioParty would be weird. :/

Some people always have a cellphone on them. I'm so awesome I always have a 3DS.

As I said an online Mario Party would be flawed with quitters. Perhaps if there was a short mode for online that would be fun.

there's quitters in every game, but some people, such as I, play all the way through, and if i sit down and decide that i want to play MP online, I'm gonna do it.

Even with that, at the very least, i think the mini game arena should/can be online.

I would want 3 types of game modes for online

Quick Game: 15 turns, No Handicaps, No Bonus Stars, just pick your stage and characters. For those who don't want to sit through a full game.

Custom Game: Like any standard Mario Party. Choose all of your rules. For those willing to stay for a long time.

Minigame Mode: All of the minigame modes that will be included are available to play online.

Features that need to happen for online are Voice Chat (need to hear the rage) and a timer for how long you take for dice rolling (after x amount of seconds, it automatically hits the dice block, even when using an item or looking at the map)

Unless those quitters get replaced with an AI-controlled player.

Good idea.

The only way I'd consider paying for this is an ONLINE mode. It's stupid that some games don't have it, but then again it's surprising to see a game that's expected to focus on singleplayer like Luigi's Mansion 2 has online multiplayer. But most likely they will come up with the stupid "local multiplayer is betterz" argument like they did with NSMBU.

Maybe they could do a words with friends style online mode, where you can have a game playing with friends that could pick up and go from a day after your turn. Then you could also have multiple games going too, like save files but online games with friends. Anyone else think this could be an awesome game if they did this?
