Well, it would be nice for Sega to come back, but that's just my hope. I didn't have a Dreamcast or any Sega console, but it would seem good to have.

I just hope that Apple doesn't think about creating a console. Then all would break loose. :-(

i agree the i want sega because i enjoyed the dreamcast very much my fav 3D console and the most underated console.But theres some good info if theres is a sega succesor Link;

if apple made a console sure i would try it or buy it.

I think some of the larger electronics companies might stand a chance if they released a new console, LG for example.

While it might seem unlikely that we'll see any new companies in the console business next generation, keep in mind how much of a shock the original Xbox was to gamers - and it won't hurt us to speculate, will it?

So what companies do you think could enter the console business in the near future?

I really would like to see no other companies enter the console market. Why? Because I honestly Can't think of a single thing that they bring to the market.

Another competitor entering the ring is very unlikely at the moment. Sony was able to get in only because of a slip up that Nintendo made, and Microsoft made it because they could tank their way through their first generation.

Sega isn't making a Dreamcast 2. They dropped out of the Console business due to lack of funds, and I seriously doubt they've made back enough to work on another console. If the Trap Card 'Skies of Arcadia 2' is activated, then this card's effect is negated, the player who activated said card loses 2000 life points and becomes a Sega fanboy.

I dont think any company will enter. Sega probably will not make another console and Apple is probably happy with their Macs, Iphones, Ipods and Ipads. I think it will just be Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft.

I don't see any companies entering the console market anytime soon. I don't think that Apple are really interested in entering the games industry; They're making plenty of money from their App Store. I think the next company to make their own console will be one of the big game developers, although as I said, I don't think it'll be in the next generation of consoles.

No one in the foreseeable future, I think Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft are good enough for now.
