My dog has had this lump on his gum for probably a few months now. I first noticed it back in November, it was really tiny.. So now it's increased in size. It's perhaps the size of a dime. My brother took him to the vet last week, everything came out fine in the blood work department. We found out it was a tumor. Now he'll need surgery within the next few weeks. Anybody else ever had a dog with this?
So one of my dogs has an epulis.

I have a very old dog (15 years old) and she has what we believe are tumors but not on her gums. The tumors are benign since she's still in pretty good health despite having lumps everywhere. It always sucks when your family pet is in some sort of pain. I hope everything goes well.

Hopefully he gets better and the surgery is done well! My friend's dog had this and got cancer and died. :'(

My mom's black lab has a tumor on it's leg. For some reason it appears to happen a lot with labs.

I'm sure your dog will be fine. My cat had a tumor on her leg and had to get it amputated. After that she was fine and back to normal hopping around outside and lived for another two years until she was 15.

My dog's surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday.
Surgery was a success! I wish I did a before picture, but they basically removed the epulis which was above the two back teeth.

I'd be devastated if any of my dogs died. They become your children, I wouldn't be able to cope with the loss.
