So i'm starting a wii to wii U transfer tomorrow, since i've figured it's about time I did. I only want stuff like some of my Wii games and my Virtual Console games, so I have a few questions though to anyone who has already transferred or knows what is going on.

1: My Wii Save Files

Some of my wii save files i'd rather have on my wii than my wii U so I could play them anytime, can I put these on an SD card and slap them on my wii?

2: My Mii's

Are my Mii's transferable so I could put a few of them back on my wii?

3: My Animal Crossing, Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario & Sonic saves

I happened to notice that these 3 save files aren't letting me move them on my wii, will they be moved from there to my wii U or will they stay on the wii?

That's it, my thanks go to anyone who can answer my questions.

The Wii to Wii U transfer effectively transfers your entire Wii identity over to the Wii U then resets it on the Wii so it becomes a new ID.

What that means is if any saves are console locked, they will become console locked to the Wii U (technically they aren't changed, its just your Wii U now has your Wiis encryption keys).

So basically any save games which AREN'T console locked you should be able to move between consoles without any issues, just as you would between multiple Wiis, its exactly the same process.  In fact the Wii U ONLY has an SD card slot in order to be fully backwards compatible with the Wii, its not used in Wii U mode at all.

How to improve the Wii U download speed.

Incorrect, Mii's cannot be transferred back to the Wii in any way. You'll have to make them over.

ABCdude owns a 3DS

I think that's how I did it.

I have somehow, but I'm not sure how, but I assume it was wiiu to 3ds to wii.

3DS can't transfer to Wii.

Maybe I used my wiimote then. 2 at a time, seems like something I'd remember but I doubt I moved back many...

Wii can transfer Mii's to 3DS, then you transfer those Mii's on the 3DS to the Wii U.

Dipper wants to transfer from the Wii U's Mii Channel back to regular Wii. Wii Remote transfer is disabled on the Wii U, and the 3DS can't transfer to regular Wii, so there is no way to do what he was asking.

I'm just taking a wild guess here. But what if you were to put the Miis you want on your Wii Remote ( on the Wii), preform the transfer to the Wii U, and then send them back to the Wii? I haven't done a system transfer yet either.

That would probably work, but it might treat them as Miis from another system and not let you use them.

Can't the Wii U's wii mode connect to the 3DS like the Wii did? And I could just transfer them all that way?

No the 3DS has more Mii features so it isn't allowed to transfer to Wii.
