Electronic Arts Logo EA

I’d like to say I find it quite painful to write articles on Electronic Arts, whether is be as consultant to YouTube news writers or for the Wii U Blog. It’s almost unheard of for good news to come out of EA, but especially for Nintendo. In the continuation of EA/Nintendo drama, we received some insight on the future of EA’s gaming business model in their latest investor call, which some speculate to be completely anti-Wii U.

You can read more about the latest Electronic Arts investor call after the break:

Electronic Arts was quoted in their latest investor call saying:

Regarding next generation consoles, we are under a non-disclosure agreement with our platform partners, however, we’re planning a full reveal at E3 including more next generation titles in development for FY14. This will include breakthroughs in graphics and gameplay for some of our biggest franchises including Battlefield, FIFA, Madden, NBA LIVE, and Need for Speed. We plan to unveil new titles from EA SPORTS, Bioware, and DICE and a first look at  some brand new games.

Furthermore, according to PSLifestyle, EA has also said they’ve eliminated expenses in next-gen R&D by ignoring platforms they feel do not have any long-term potential. As stated by Wii U Daily, a tweet from an EA employee yesterday makes future Wii U support from the company seem grim:

Do you have any thoughts for EA in regards to their lack of support for Nintendo?
