Sonic has had his ups and downs but there have been great Sonic titles.
Mine is Sonic 3 & Knuckles, that game had alot of content and has my overall favorite 16 bit sonic tracks.

Sonic Generations.
Why? Because it has the best levels from the best [not including Sonic 06] Sonic games.
Not to mention the amazing soundtrack.

Give me 5 bad things about this game.
I'll try my best.
1. The voice acting is terrible.
2. The graphics are really outdated by today's standards.
3. The voice and audio control are also terrible.
4. You're forced to play the entire game twice. (I hated this about Sonic Heroes and Sonic '06 as well.)
5. The Knuckles/Rouge levels are SO BORING.

1. All the games have terrible voice acting. Can't think of a single sonic game where it was ever decent.
2. You took the graphics out of it's era. Not the greatest example of explaining a bad point. It's like comparing ET on the Atari 2600 to Bioshock Infinite.
3. Not something I bothered noting so I won't comment.
4. Wut no.
5. If you don't use hints they aren't. It's like a real scavenger hunt.
Trophy Cards are classy too! LOLZIGZAGOON

Ye~s?
You have to play the exact same story over again, albeit from the perspective of different characters, depending on the story chosen (Light from Sonic's POV, Dark from Shadows, so on and so forth).
You do this to obtain the Last Story, which is basically the ending.
And you also had to go through this in Sonic Heroes (Albeit FOUR times) and Sonic '06 (Albeit three times).
ANYWHO, Sonic CD is still my favorite Sonic game by far.
MOREOVER,
1. All the games have terrible voice acting. Can't think of a single sonic game where it was ever decent.
That's more a matter of opinion, even in my case. I feel that, despite the actors they got "fitting" the characters (If that makes any sense), the VAs just do a poor job in general. Although, I do think that every actor really improved when Sonic Heroes rolled around. (Scott Dreier more than anyone else. I still think he's the definitive Knuckles voice.)
I also feel that every game after Sonic Adventure 2, minus the games with Jason Griffith as Sonic (Except for Unleashed, he wasn't too bad in that...) for obvious reasons, did a much better job with the voice directing in general.

Sonic CD and Sonic 2. The only thing I hate about Sonic CD is the US soundtrack, the JP one is vastly superior.

Personally, I prefer the US over the JP soundtrack, simply because the JP soundtrack always sounds too J-Poppy for me. On top of that, the US songs are just so atmospheric.

But the difference is that the dark story does have different levels. Shadow's levels are much more flowy than Sonic's and Eggman's levels are superior to Tails' (Tails wasn't originally going to have any levels. The focus was on Eggman's, so his level's play great and fun, while Tails' were just sort of thrown in.). Rouge's levels are fairly easy, opposed to Knuckles.
You can attack the story, but not the levels, the dark levels are pretty different, opposed to Heroes or 06.

I was calling out the story to begin with.
I never started dissing the levels because I think that the levels are well designed.

Did I? I didn't catch that.
Ah well, in any case, I corrected myself inadvertently.
