Nintendo will advertise the games when it has exceptional games to advertise.

I'm sure we will see major ads for games that sell themselves like Mario, Zelda, metroid, Mario kart, bayonetta, and x.

Nintendo recently has just been trying to "explain" the wii u as it erroneously believes that lack of explanation is the reason why it has sold slowly so far.

And it has done a poor job.

Expect things to change later this year.

I think it will.

Especially with the resurgence in studios making RPGs and the success of monster hunter.

The time is right.

Wait is that Paul Rudd in the first commercial?

It will probably sell as well as Fire Emblem: Awakening did.

But if they released it sooner during the great big Nintendo Wii U drought they could possibly sell a copy to most of the userbase.

It's mad that Nintendo are closing down the wii nintendo channel. Surely a fantastic way of getting some free marketing for wii u. They could practically fill it with links to wii u game and features videos to try to get wii owners to upgrade. Its finishing at the end of june. I think currently the wii is outselling the wii u anyway so there are more new owners of the wii than wii u. It's hard to figure Nintendo out sometimes.

Probably much better.

there is a lot of purchase intent for this game.  Even in alpha, it looks amazing and will whet the appetite of anyone looking for an RPG/mecha/monster hunter type of game.  the original X chronicles was miscalculated by Nintendo and they released only so many copies in the U.S. because they weren't sure how that kind of game would go over here.  Now there is pent up demand.  the game has a cult following and looks to be building on that with mainstream appeal.

Time will tell.  But it has serious potential.  It will likely sell systems if it is marketed properly.

Perhaps that is related to the confidence they have behind their E3 Direct announcements.

Not to mention they have been sending Wii U marketing directly to Wii consoles.
