With several devs not reaching TV screens and Nintendo skipping it all together it makes me wonder if E3 is dying? Your thoughts.

Ugh, since E3 is getting lamer and lamer like last year, I would prefer Nintendo Directs over it.

Not really it took it's first attack, though.

I barely watched it last year :/
The only presentation that I'm watching is Ubisoft.
After that, It's just me, a bag of Doritos, and Nintendo Direct :D

E3 to me doesn't have the grandness it did back when last gen was being announced and all that before it. I still watch it but am not seriously crazy about it like I used to be. I remember when I was like 13 me and my friend would skip school together during the week of E3 so we could watch it on G4. Man those days were great.

Well as you can see, the companies have found their stop points, like Microsoft. They decided to just go one step longer with the kinect, and focus more on other things than gaming. And Sony, they haven't got anything to bring to the table (that they've at least showed us so far), so they are just keeping the PS3 style alive, but with better quality. And then you have the one company that dears to push forward and try new things, Nintendo.

So what I'm trying to say is that they those two companies didn't have the guts to try something new (unlike Nintendo with the Wii U and 3DS), so that's why E3 feels more dead than alive to some of you, they haven't really got anything new to show us.

And last year, Xbox360 and PS3 was the main focus. And they didn't really have anything new to show, because they (thought) were waiting for Xbox One and PS4 to get closer to their realease dates.

Slowly they are losing there appeal thanks constant news streams like Nintendo Direct. I doubt E3 will die all together, it will just bcome a different type of event, more like PAX instead.
