That's it, the only render I am satisfied with.

Took about 20 minutes to render because my PC sucks.

I may, or may not post more. It all depends if I get my lazy butt into making something else.

I used Blender, and I did not use an external renderer, just the built in one.

Edit: I remade the lightning and rendered in full HD resolution.

Updated. The attachment system wouldn't let me upload something, so it's just the link for now.

What program did you use? It looks very good.

Yeah, you've done a great job so far, letting the Metal Heads destroy the palace.

Tag says Blender, but I guess I should have made that more clear. Thanks, btw.

Whoa, I am trying to learn blender myself. I tried the latest versions of the program, but whenever I try to go to user preferences it crashes. So i am stuck using 2.56.

Something like that should be used in the new Pikmin. That's awesome.

Wow, that looks great O.o

Did you just stick in an image as the reflection, or did you model all the buildings, too?

I used an image. Modeling the buildings would be WAY too much work for a simple puddle, not to mention that it would also take a lot more to render.

Believe it or not. That is only one polygon. That's the true power of textures.

Don't be surprised if I fail you. I'll try not to, though.

And thanks to everyone who took the time to reply to my humble topic.

A single polygon? I smell bump-mapping...

Looks quite sweet, Waller. Though, this is coming from a guy who has absolutely no idea how to do anything 3D, so I don't know if that took a herculean effort to make or not.

But 20 minutes to render a single puddle is quite a while. You could use an EliteBook like mine. :P

You have a good nose, Normals -0.150 to be exact.

Not really, it only took the finding of a texture, modifying the texture 3 different times, adding a cloud texture, adding the "world" texture, adding 10 lamps, modifying the lamps, get the reflections working, add bump-mapping so that not EVERYTHING reflects, doing a few tweaks here and there, and rendering. Simple job

Having money must be nice, isn't it?

What did you think it was?

I honestly thought it was just ground or something...

I did not think it was a puddle... I feel stupid.

I won the EliteBook in an online contest. I don't really have that much money at all.

And...colour me clueless. I have no clue what "Normals -0.150" means - I only more or less knew what bump-mapping was. I might look into 3D graphics further on if I've got the time - after all, I do have a computer that is designed for that kind of work.

What did you think it was?

Honestly, I really have no clue.
Everyone was like "It looks really good" and I was like "... what?"
I guess, due to the lighting in it, I though it was an abstract piece of art from the whimsical depths of your brain. Then I realised that the lights are actually reflections in a water puddle and the black/brown parts were brick.

That makes two people. I guess I should edit it to make it look less like a rainbow.

DOOO EEEET! It is loads of fun, or at least I find it loads of fun.

I edited the image, it's in the first post.
