A Super Nintendo console concept has emerged recently featuring wireless controllers and the ability to play games off a USB.

While i doubt the project will go forward this would be great if Nintendo could approve of it.

I personally think it looks great, what do you guys think

It looks really really neat, but there's literally a 1% chance it will become a thing.

My question is would you be able to play original snes cartridges on it? If it can't that might be the deal breaker for me if it is made. Also the USB could make making and playing homebrew games a lot easier, so that's a plus.

That looks really cool, but I doubt that it will happen.

Games carts are so expensive these days, but it's pretty unlikely considering that the virtual console market would probably lose a small amount of profit should this go forward. Maybe he could just patent the controller and have it function with the WiiU *drools*.

Well if you trust Ebay, most SNES carts run about $8-$25. Unless you want something like Earthbound.

I have tried looking into buying a SNES but theres no way im paying $80 for something i don't really need.

Most of the good SNES game fetch at least AUS$35-$55 so it isn't exactly a cheap investment.
