I just received a Wii U yesterday as a gift for graduating from high school. Problem is, it only comes with a HDMI cable and my TV has no HDMI input, tho it does support DVI, SCART and red, yellow, white RCA. I don't want any major quality loss, neither in video or audio, so whats the best way for me to hook up my Wii U?

Thanks in advance!

Ooh, I forgot I was going to look into that!

The Wii U will not output audio over the RCA cables and video over HDMI (with the hdmi-dvi adaptor)

Which is annoying, as that is what my Bluray player uses.

Your best bet would be an HDMI switch that spits out stereo audio, but  the model I have is discontinued and I can't find another.

Hdmi to dvi with audio outs. Good luck finding a decent one for a decent price.

Getting audio from HDMI to DVI is expensive.

Use something like...

http://www.amazon.co...r/dp/B0091CD9A6

Though I guess $25 isn't as expensive as I was thinking.

Back when I last looked into it it was looking around 100 at least.

the local sears has a soundbar that extracts audio from a hdmi line. Though at that point might as well upgrade the tv
