As long as it doesn't take up to much time from other projects, then it's a very good idea! 

 

But I'm afraid that if they go down that road, they might trash the original Mario Kart, and instead make it into ''Smash Kart'' or ''Mario & Sonic Kart''

But really, I'd like it. It seems like a natural progression of the Mario Kart games to me. There's only so many Mario characters..

They should just do ONE Mario Kart all star game. One is enough

There's one think I wish Nintendo would add to Mario Kart: bonus specials. In each level there will be one or a few hidden power up blocks that contain really powerful specials, unique to that track. So a volcano track would have a bonus special that makes the volcano erupt, causing everyone to have to avoid falling rocks. Or one on Rainbow road would cause a severe meteor shower to the same effect.

I'd rather they make a real time 3rd person adventure a la Zelda, but it would be cool as well.
