This game and Animal Crossing: New Leaf both compliment each other. Both are great games, but this one runs at a somewhat hectic pace and Animal Crossing is relaxed. As a gamer, it's great to have both types of games in your diet.

The cinematics and battle scenes of Fire Emblem Awakening are graphical, especially the eye-candy anime cinematics. It's amazing that all this and this lengthy game can be stored on a 3DS cartridge. This seems to be a full-fledged game, one which also has DLC.

This game is nearly perfect, it rivals anything I have played on the Wii U so far. My only complaint is the difficulty level and certain you-have-to-be-a-novice-to-catch-on aspects of the game.

I would rate this game the same score IGN gave it: 9.6/10.

Fire Emblem Awakening is one of the best games I have ever played, period. Haven't completed it yet mind.

I agree. It's one of the best handheld games I've played in a while.

FE:A is the only game so far that has required me to stop playing just to get enough charge back in the 3DS to play it some more.  The strategy is fun and rewarding, the story is awesome, and the cutscenes are epic.  Really a great game and a must own for anyone, not just current 3DS owners.

This game has reignited the spark that I had as a child with JRPGs.  Since PS1, I haven't played an RPG this engaging and enjoyable on so many fronts.

Animal Crossing absolutely is the polar opposite and a good complimentary experience.  If anyone wants to visit broville and steal some oranges, let me know in PM.

The game is really amazing. It's the only game I've ever played that has made me start up a new file IMMEDIATELY after beating the final boss.

Earns its spot in my top 10 favorite games of all time.

I have a sad confession to make... I have the game but I haven't played it. I keep getting caught up in other games that I never wind up playing it. I think I need to get a move on and start it finally. Because the number of reviews I've heard say it's a great game is overwhelming, and I don't want to miss out on it.

Play it ASAP! You are missing out my man :P I wish I had FE:A also. It's on my list.

I will when I am at home, I don't have a connection at work.  I've written your code down though.  Do I need to leave the game running and open to have people visit?

Favorite 3DS game to date, i put in over 100 hrs and still have at least 20-30 more hours of content left to do as far as DLC and all the little challenges. I honestly wouldn't be mad if this was the last FE game, because i really don't see how it could have been any better, other than on wii-u, which is arguable, because it worked very well on handheld.

3DS GOTY so far

It's personally my favorite game of probably the last 3 years. Its the only game in recent memory I've been able to start playing and just not want to stop. Already my most played 3DS game, and I'm only 3/4 done with my first playthrough. Easily in my top 15 favorite games of all time.

Loved the game and have sunk many hours into it though I have to say, I think I like the GBA fire emblems better

I've briefly played Fire Emblem on the GBA and enjoyed it, but the slightly more realistic graphics of this game just seem to give a more grim feel to it, which I like.

tbh I actually found awakening to be one of the most lighthearted fire emblems,
