"I am pissed," she said. "Some of you have not yet received your Ouya, and to you, I apologize. I did not promise to ship to most of you before we hit store shelves. I promised to ship to all of you. I've been reading your comments, and we are working to solve this."

Uhrman said Ouya shipment issues are the fault of the company's distribution partners. She said units were delivered in May, but some still have not been shipped.

"We paid for shipping, yet the deliveries remain incomplete. We know everyone is getting their Ouya, but it is taking longer than we expected," she said.

Ouya head of operations Ken Stephens said those who ordered a system can expect their console to arrive in 15-17 days once shipped from Hong Kong.

"Over the past few months, we encountered and conquered many challenges spanning both hardware and software in order to bring the best product we could to market," Stephens said. "We have tried to make sure that the challenges we faced did not impact our early supporters, but unfortunately we came up short."

The $99 Android-powered Ouya launched today in the United States and internationally. The console is currently sold out at Amazon.

I honestly don't expect this to last long. Especially with the horrible business decisions from this lady and being too parsimonious to pay for a booth at E3.

I would't worry to be honest, most people couldn't give a flying F about the thing anyway.

Terrible. First off, if I was her. I would have delayed the product and put in the Tegra 4 chip. 2nd, I would have had her make a good interesting IP for her system and she should have partnered with more indies. Right now its just an emulation console with a few decent android titles. What happened to Minecraft? lol.

Nobody cares about this. Like, really, for any outside console to gain any momentum would be a huge surprise. The Big 3 dominate the market, and there isn't any capability for a smaller console to succeed.

Like everyone else, I don't see this thing succeeding. At all.

You would think they would have had enough money from the kickstarter to set up an average both inside E3 rather than the car park.

I do. I backed, I was ticked off by support/CS however the unit itself is built nicely, controller isn't bad and the console just had a good system update which fixed UI and some other issues.

It's great for emulation and indie gaming.

The console looks sleek as hell but the controller is hideous.  I wonder if the Big 3 have patented everything about a controller to the point Ouya needed to make it look stupid to avoid getting sued.

It doesn't look as bad in person, the gray plates come off (magnet) and one battery on each side. The black area above is actually a touchpad, used in some games and nice for browsing the web and such.

I just spent a couple hours playing some indie games on it and testing out some emulation. 8gig on board storage, but i just placed a 32 gig micro usb flash drive in the back, so tiny it hardly protrudes from the console lol.

32 GB Micro Flash Drive

I want to put additional memory in my Wii U eventually.  Just need to find one that's on sale.

And maybe it's less ugly but it'll never be as pretty as the Pro Controller.  That thing's a beaut aesthetically.

Yeah. Love how discrete it is. To buy one of those or another game though? Hmm.
