Isn't that like Skylanders?

 

I've never played that, but I know Infinity is gonna be a pretty cool sandbox game.

How is Disney Infinity remotely comparable to Skylanders, though? Unless I have the whole concept of Skylanders down the wrong way, there's little to no similarity between the two games.

I believe Disney is trying to do their own version of the Skylanders concept. Or they're trying to copy it.

i had a few WiiU games on pre-order, but i have cancelled them all now, going to wait for the reviews to come out & i'll buy them used a couple of months later.

I have preordered Super Mario 3D World along with Ducktales Remastered for PS3. I'll get Mario on the Wii U.

Well, perfectionist mode makes it like the good old days.

My problem with the game is it has blood, guts and gore in it. I don't like to see that in my video games.

Let's just say the recent Splinter Cell games put less emphasis on stealth...

From what I understand there are more differences then similarities. Skylanders focuses on one type of gameplay where as with Disney Infinity the game play focus changes depending which IP you're using characters from. For example if you're using characters from Cars then its more of a driving game. If its Pirates Of The Carribean then its more about combat.

You might be right. I think it's mostly combat, since most of Disney's characters are either human, animal or monster. I also think that once they introduce Planes to the game, that will be racing too.
