So... Title.

 

I always knew that I didn't keep up with the news as much as I should. But I truly realized just how out of touch I am a few weeks ago when I heard of the Zimmerman Trials. I didn't even know who he was. What the trial was about. Or that it was even a thing.

 

This was a week before it ended.

 

That's when it hit me that I really have no idea what's happening in the world. Are there any important wars at the moment? Is there some extremely divisive Bill which may change everything I do? Is there anything out there at the moment that I NEED to know about?

 

I tried to keep up with it a year ago. But then I got sick for a week, and avoided TV and the computer for the entirety. When I got better I just didn't, "get back into the groove of things," you could say. It certainly doesn't help that all of the news I see is utter garbage about some celebrity either... (MSN, FOX, Local.)

 

What do you do to try and keep up? You got a Politics nut on Facebook that painstakingly keeps you up-to-date? Any specific sites you visit? Channel you prefer? As is I kind of just watch the local news for a few minutes a day then get on the computer -- Typically big things are everywhere.

Amanda Bynes has brought her irrelevant career alive again by posting creepy pictures of herself on twitter and saying that she wanted Drake to destroy her macho man. The media was over all over it, and since then she's gotten arrested, made rude comments, and overall be insane. It's on par with Charlie Sheen's winning and tiger blood phase.

Not at all, ok I try to stay in touch in mobile stuff (cellphone leaks), but wars, politics, trials, news I'm not in touch with at all. I heard of Zimmerman through a change.org petition way before all the news, but nothing since, I don't know who Amanda Bynes is, sounds like a author. And anything popular tv/movies/fasions usually pass by me without me noticing.

government documents and newspapers come into the library where i work and i file them away, reading headlines and environmental impact statements and whatnot.

I check my Bank Account, MSN, Cracked, Saiyan Island, TeamFourStar, My Nintendo News, IGN, My Fave YouTubers Channels, Gmail, Facebook, Twitter and these Forums 5 days a week Tuesday to Saturday, so it's very rare you will see me on here on a Sunday and Monday, I at least gotta give me those days off! Obviously I do go to other websites too but these are my OCD must do's lol, overall I like to think I'm pretty informed

I have a RSS site set up with many sites ( mostly webcomics though) and I breeze through the headlines. If there's anything really important I'll hear about it on sits like Funnyjunk or I will b told by friends and family
