This is why I've never liked Phil.
He's willingly put himself in the public eye, yet when every anyone says anything bad about him, he throws a temper tantrum.
Admittedly, the guy who was mocking him isn't in the right either, but then to respond by telling that person that they should kill themselves is a pretty awful thing to say. I just wish that he would understand that this is the kind of thing that happens when you put yourself in the public spotlight. You have to grow a thick skin, and not left stuff like this bother you.
Or just not be an attention whore, like Phil is.

I found a comment that represents my opinion on this situation very accurately.
There is a huge difference between sincere criticism and personal attack. I've heard Beer on Weekend Confirmed and I do enjoy his perspective and while I do find that Fish can be annoying at times, neither should have acted the way they did. This whole situation is ridiculous and should never have happened among professionals.

I wasn't even aware this game was coming to the Wiiu. But why deprive an entire audience of this game for the opinions of a few individuals?

Okay, time for a honest question:
Why is it that most of the more experienced guys in the industry(Cerny, Miyamoto, Meier, etc) All are so humble compared to some of these indie people(Fish, Blow, etc) who somehow think that they are God's gift to the world? The former have all managed to shape the industry in massive ways with record selling games and innovative ideas while the former get it into their heads that adding one new mechanic into a Genre suddenly makes them THE MESSIAH OF GAMING. Miyamoto hears negative feedback, moves on and accepts it. Fish hears it and tells someone to go kill themselves.
Games that refuse to use Gameplay effectively to do anything are like films that refuse to use cinematography in film to do anything.

Ahhh...no, it wasn't ever coming to the WiiU. Unless I have missed something I'm 95% sure that it was never confirmed or even rumoured.

When you are almost always negative towards anyone with any kind of critisim, and then you take it a step further by insulting the person by asking them to die. You better expect some backlash.
He lacks very basics in tact! He went so far as to embarrass not only himself, but all of japan by telling a Japanese developer, who was just innocently acting a question, Japanese games "Just suck". Some of the most beloved games in the world. Some indy guy, who made only two games , suddenly thinks he is good enough to call out a whole nation as bad?
he may have not deserved it, but he was defiantly going to get it with how he not only stirred up trouble but confronted it. There will be small fires and he will end up just spraying them with gunpowder only to have it blow up in his face. Of course it will get out of hand like that.
