Welcome to the Wii U forums. I'm Andy, one of the guides here.
I also enjoy playing challenging, classic games. Right now I'm playing through Super Castlevania IV and getting my butt handed to me.
As you can tell by my avatar, the Legend of Zelda series is my life. I've played every game except the oracle games and Four Swords, and Zelda II is the only one I've played and haven't beat.

Welcome to the Wii U forums! I'm pretty new myself so I can't really give you much advice, not that you need it by the looks of things.
Banjo Kazooie and Tooie are among my favourite games of all time!
Have you played Nuts and bolts an if so did you enjoy it? I personally didn't, the lack of the old characters and the humour just wasn't what it was in the older games although maybe I'm just wearing nostalgia goggles.

Challenging retro games are my niche. I've owned just about every console since the Atari 2600, and will take the classics over a game on a next-gen console any day. My favorite console is the SNES, though I have high hopes for the Wii U!

I'm a massive fan of the Donkey Kong Country trilogy and Rare's interpretation of the character. Donkey Kong Country 2 is my favorite game, among:

You and I are gonna get along. xD I am also a huge fan of the Donkey Kong trilogy and I am also a fan of Rareware's work. Also the fact that you have SMW 2: Yoshi's Island on your list shows that you have good taste. xD I was there for the SNES, but the N64 is much more memorable because that is how I spent most of my early childhood.

My favorite thing is Nintendo. The only Rare games I like were StarFox Adventures and Diddy Kong Racing, but I don't play Rare very much anymore since they moved to xbox.

Eh, I've never been able to forgive Ninty for ruining Dinosaur Planet, but DKR is a fantastic game! Rare's fallen off the map, but Grabbed by the Ghoulies and Viva Piñata are excellent games developed during the post-buyout era.

...I feel my introduction's been drawn out a bit by now.

I don't think Grabbed by the Ghoulies was excellent although I can see it's a guilty pleasure for most.

Oh lord, I love battletoads even though I suck terribly at it. So, you like Ico. I actually haven't played Ico, but I have played shadow of the colossus. Do you happen to like that game? I loved it, mostly because of its compelling but simple story along with a dreadfully emotional ending.

Hey there. Im superdarkyoshi. I enjoy writing short stories (currently one in progress, actually) and poetry (again, another poem in development). I also like to call myself a guitar player. Ive been playing for about 2 years now, and know and thing or two about the basic chords and standard notation.
