As you all know, today marks the 10 year anniversary of the largest attack on the United States in the country's history. I don't know if anyone who isn't from America really cares about this, but I would like to ask my fellow members from the United States(and any not from here who would like to join in) if you remember where you were and what you were doing when the attack started. Did you lose any friends or family in the attack?

My dad and I were still asleep, I hadn't started school yet and my dad had been working the night shift. My mom had just gotten back from taking my sister to school. She sat on the couch and turned on the TV just as the second plane hit. I'm blessed that I didn't have any family members or friends die on that day.

I was in 7th grade. The school kept us from knowing anything about it. Some kid came in late, and knew about it, but I didn't hear the story properly so I had no idea what they were talking about.

I only knew what actually happened after I got home and randomly scrolled towards a channel that was listing through the list of lives lost.

I don't have any family members anywhere near NYC that I know of, so no, I didn't lose anybody. I don't recall knowing anybody who lost anybody either. Still, it was sad. I don't know why people do such screwed up things like this. So many innocent lives lost.

I had just been born. Mum and dad heard about the start on the radio, we went swimming. And when we came back mum and dad watched it on TV.

I live in England, just to say.

I was six or seven and was playing pokemon or something. Honestly, it never really affected me.
My Aunt lives in an apartment in New York city, but she is fine... Unless the debris from the attack have any hidden effect (because the debris were harmful to peoples' health.)
I'm going to shut up before I start talking about the US and our failure as a country.

I was in 4th grade when the attack happened. O.o All of a sudden, many of my classmates, including me, were being picked up by our parents. D: I had absolutely no idea what was going on until I came home and saw the television. I was veeery shocked. Even worse, my dad was around the Pentagon when the attack happened. My bro and I cried because we were worried about our dad, but he's okay. :)

It was pretty chaotic in the Washington D.C metropolitan area. :\

I'd have been 9/10 years old. It would be 2001, so I'd be in 4th Grade. It was the time of chicken sandwiches, marbles, drawing bomberman and static electrocuting playground equipment.

It was also a time when I was fat, so I won't reminisce too much in fear of dredging up a terrible memory or fifty.

Hmmmmm... I was 7 years old, which means my dad recently bought an original Xbox with Halo and I remember my mom not letting watching him play it because I was too young.

By that time, I was 6 years old. I remember I stayed most of the time during that age at my grandma's house. It was so fun.
