Has anyone thought of risking screwing up their Wii U forever by unwiring the USB 2.0 ports and replacing them with USB 3.0 ports? I mean it's not like you could replace the CPU and GPU, but surely the USB ports are generic ones, or would the firmware suddenly realise that things are different?
Also now that the Wii U has been "hacked" are there any projects to try and hack video playback from a USB device, or hell even getting Blu-Ray / DVD playback?

You would still need a USB 3.0 controller. Changing the port would only make it blue.
and it would lack the drivers, and it would lack most the connectors...... and it would lack the chips that help provide power, and it would not have enough power directed to it.
