That's a good video, it helps re-ensure my faith in this console, He almost convince you that the Wii U will outsell the Wii. I'm glad that he said there going to take the affordable approach and not the Sony approach, i can see this console being $300

IMO it will be 350$. Nintemdo said they want a price that is reasonable but won't changr for about 2 years. 350 seems like the sweet spot and I'd be ready to pay that much.

I don't think they can justify anything more then a £225 price point TBH.
Yes it comes with a touch screen controller and has backward compatability with the Wii but it lacks media playback and a hard drive which both Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 feature for less then £200. There is no evidence the platform is future proof, many games in it's launch line up are niche and others will be out of date.

I really want the price to be $300 at most. With so many games coming out, not only on the Wii U but nearly every other console ( PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, 3DS and Vita for me) this year, I don't want Nintendo to strain our wallets even more with the Wii U. Hopefully Nintendo has this in mind that gamers are having strained wallets from all the awesome games coming out this year.

According to Best Buy.com, the price will be 300$ because if you search Wii U on BestBuy.com it will tell you coming soon next to the wii u system pic but if you look right above "coming soon" it will say 6 month financing, click there it should open a little page and it will say if you pay like 60$ a month or something like that it will come up to 300$. Try for yourself, just follow the steps I listed above. Mystery Unsolved .

I will be buying a Wii U.

But I wont have a shut up and take my money experience until I have all the facts in place. While the Gamepad is something that is a great selling point, along with AC3, Arkham City: A.E, Mass Effect 3, and especially ZombiU, I want to show Take2 that hardcore gamers want a GTA V on a Nintendo System. However before I shell out any money I need to know what kind of specifications I'm paying for.

I'm talking full detailed CPU, GPU and RAM specifications, and what's the difference, if it's a tri-core CPU, does it have extra threads and cache memory to deal with multi-tasking? If It's 4-core, does it have the extra memory or just an extra core for the Gamepad? Is the GPU enough to run Unreal 3.5 or Unreal 4, or neither? How much RAM is being used, what type? What is dedicated to what, and what kind of difference will it make to my game?

Now if those questions are answered, AND I have a price point, I can see if that technology is worth the money. I'm sure it will I'm hoping for £199.99 - £249.99/$300

This is a offical site and I trust it very much It has a whole section on the site for Wii U now and even has both black and white Wii Us and well as some games for pre-order.



I would just like to say that you should be extremlely careful when pre-ordering a Wii U anywhere until the proper price and release date is revealed.

What are your thoughts on this?

Well, they do seem to know what they're talking about, as in it's pretty specific. We'll see.

In US dollars the games would be about $50 and the console would be about $350.

300 seems like a nice price, depending on hardware specs. If nextbox will indeed be 300 too for example.. Wii U should easily be 250.

You have to remember, retailers just put these up as placeholders. They have no idea what the prices are gonna be, they will alter them when the official MSRP is announced. The only reason they do this is so that they can get people pre-ordering as soon as possible.

I'm pretty sure this is simply a placeholder price, so I wouldn't read too much into this. It's just there to give customers a rough idea of what they can expect to pay for the Wii U. I don't know exactly when stores will be told the Wii U's retail price, but I don't think they will until much nearer the Wii U's launch.

its leaked in german amazon as a 400 euro console.. NOBODY will buy it, except the nintendo lovers.. it is 200% more expensive than the current and it performs like it, with some better features.
