NNah it will be pink since its not warm yet lol.

The down side I see to this is slow down on games.

Think about getting ready to shot the guy in front of you and then your Xbox slows down and you end up getting knife.

Microsoft changes evrything people b  i  t  ch about and people still b i   tch about stuff .

DOnt know why people got to talk negative about the one especially if they had no intention on buying the system in the first place.   And where does it actually say that it will slow down the game your playing if anything it might slow down other things but I do not  see them slowing down a game espicially if your in multiplayer.

So, it downclocks to reduce heat production. Like every single other electronic device that produces heat. And that's a core feature of any current x86 chip, so it's not a surprise.

That's a common feature.

I don't expect heat to be an issue in the x1.

If it is, they've really blundered.

I just want to get my hands on one, to see how easy It is to obstruct that big side vent and if doing so severely impedes airflow.

I should check the new 360 also, it has flat sides.

Might want to check the original source, since 'gAmz GirnAlist' are really bad at the preschool game of telephone. Especially ign.

You can usually find it as a hyperlinked word or phrase on ign articles.

'It goes a little further than that, though. The Xbox One actually has the ability to ramp down its power usage, so that it's using next to no power when it feels it's under total thermal duress. This keeps it from melting the plastic in its body, and also from experiencing critical overheating errors, but at the cost of performance'

When you can scale back power usage to almost next to nothing, Yes, its going to start costing you fps in game before it shuts down, its the same power regulation seen in every modern x86 design. But, if you are still playing at that point, unheeding the warnings and screaming fan, instead of moving your console out of whatever unventilated sweatbox you put it into, you have problems.

Its not like this thing is going to just drop performance for no reason with no signs, as suggested (probably in jest) earlier.
