I already have my copy but I feel bad for most of you here that didn't get the chance to buy and play it yourselves. I have mixed feelings about this, they're ripping off gamers but at the same time, the copy's were limited and the game is a fantastic piece of work that it really is worth spending $100

People who are saying GameStop is asking way too much haven't looked at eBay whatsoever. It can go for $120 easily on eBay, or anywhere else for that matter.

And yes. You should get it. If you're a Powerup Rewards Pro member, it'll be $81 instead of $90, or there may be some coupons online.

TBH, games these days are so much money. I don't think even a game that many people claim is a master piece is worth $90.

Totally worth it, especially considering the prices elsewhere.

Let me put it this way.

$90 (or $81, or whatever you get it for with a coupon) for Xenoblade, which will easily last 90 hours on the story alone, comes to be about $1 per hour.

Seeing a movie at a theater is around $10 for a 1 1/2 to 2 hour movie. That's about $6.67 to $5 an hour.

Buying a movie is $5-20 for, usually, 1 to 2 hours worth of movie, which, again is anywhere from $5 to $20 an hour.

And compared to what games used to cost back then (I believe Super Mario 64 launched at $80 or $90) Xenoblade admittedly isn't THAT bad in terms of cost, especially at gamestop.

If you buy the game at that price you forfeit your right to complain.

To me Xenoblade is not worth $90. Masterpiece or not, $50 is enough, especially for a game that is not on an HD system.

Lol, harsh.

I think I'd add, if you buy at that price without attempting any research...

Xenoblade does extremely well something that has almost gone extinct. Exploration and adventure. If this is what you want, it is well worth the 90 bucks and then some.

It has a great story, for a videogame, and its well executed, for a videogame. Its very Japanese. If you go in looking to be blown away soley by this, and you dont like it, youll be out 90 bones.

It has a lot of content, over 400 side missions, however, many of these side missions are repetitive, very repetitive. Collect x this or kill x this. The game intends for you to accept these in mass and complete them during the course of the game, to streamlone repetitiveness. Even then, if you have a compulsive need to 100% missions, but cant stand doing them, you may go insane. The game has so many side missions so you can increase the affinity stat between your party and the peoples of the world so you can unlock major sidequests with cool stories and awesome payoffs with choice and variety.... You dont need, nor do you get anything for doing hundreds of repetive tasks after gaining max affinity... You may end up hating the game. Dont kill yourself on unnecesary sidequests.

It has A good combat system. Some people compare it to ff12, I see it as more of a evolution of chrono trigger. Its a fun tweak on the classic active battle time system from chrono trigger, now you can control where you are in real time. Its great fun, I like getting in battles. Buts it not the greatest thing ever. If you go in looking for this, you might feel like you are out 90 bones.

If you want a wonderful world to explore full of things to find. You are alnost garunteed one of the best gaming experiences youve ever had.

Here in the UK the average price on amazon for the standard edition brand new is around £50. The one that comes with the controller is going for about £90.

I've never played the game so I cannot comment on whether it is a "masterpiece" or not. Even if it is a masterpiece I don't think £50 or $90 is worth it unless there it is some sort of special edition that comes with something extra. I paid £50 for Skyward Sword which came with a limited edition Gold Hylian Wiimote+. I didn't have a Wiimote+ before I bought this so for me it was totally worth it.

Thats the most I have ever paid for a game.

If we were talking about the version that comes with the controller then I would say it is worth it but to me that's a bit steep because it is pre owned with no extras.
